I posted this on he families forum but no response. Am hoping someone here will be able to answer!

We will be arriving at MCO. It seems there are 2 Costco stores in Orlando. One north of where we are heading and one sort of on the way. But, the closer one is a business centre. I have no idea what that means.

When it comes to buying food for a family will this location work? I was hoping to get pizzas, fruit, rotisserie chicken, granola bars, etc in normal Costco sizes. I read that the sizes here may be huge (even by Costco standards).

We will be staying close to Disney (world centre drive area) or Windsor hills. Is going to the Costco further north worth it? It seems pretty far out of the way.

Thanks!!

If you google Costco business center vs regular it will tell you how they compare. I think less in the food line and bigger sized cans etc. We always stay in the Windsor Hills area and just go to the Orange Lake Publix or the SuperTarget across from it. Publix has a good deli and bakery area.

Thanks. I'm Canadian and we don't have target. How does a super target compare to a Walmart supercenter? To a regular Costco? In terms of price and quality....

Thanks very much.

My inlaws went to Costco when we were at Disney in May. The one they got off Google maps was closed when they got there, as in.. closed for good. It had just closed that week and that day was the Grand Opening for the new Costco. Someone was at the old location handing out maps and they went to the new one. Apparently it was huge and very nice compared to the ones here.

That's all the info I can give you on the Costco , but felt it was worth mentioning that one of the ones you are looking at might be the now closed down one. We like the Super Targets and found the price and quality on par or better than the Walmarts. Walmarts in the Orlando area are hit and miss. Some are very nice, and I've been to one or two that were kind of sketchy for lack of a better word. We really like the Targets though, and they are nicer than the Walmarts here (I'm also Canadian).

I have been to the Costco on Waterbridge and Orange Blossom trail. It seemed like a regular Costco with all their normal items. It is the closest Costco to the Disney zone, but is closer to Sea World.

Have a great trip! I prefer a super target to Walmart ALWAYS. It tends to be more expensive, and often the deals at Publix will be better (buy one, get one free) but without the deals, the target will tend to be cheaper than Publix but more than Walmart. I feel it is worth the extra spend to avoid Walmart - yes some are nice, but the ones that are not, REALLY are NOT! Even a bad target will be fine. On vacation driving around too much won't be fun. I would stick with the closest options that get you the products you need even if it means spending a few dollars more overall (I would say that target may end up being about 10% more overall over a Walmart.... That is my guess, from personal experience, no science to back up that claim)

Thanks! We have decided to check a bag so I'm going to see how much food we can pack. Then Costco won't be necessary and we can go to a super target. Now I just have to figure out our shopping list...

Thanks everyone!!

We actually have 4 Costco's in Orlando. The Costco by the Mall of Milenia is the one you want!
Just head north on John Young Pkwy and turn left on Milenia Drive. Costco will be on your right side. It opened on May 4 and replaced the one in South Orlando which they turned into a Business Center. The business center is geared
more towards restaurant owners and does not sell the rotisserie chickens like a regular Costco does.

The other Costco's are located in Winter Park and the other in Altamonte Springs.

SuperTargets have a grocery store in them. They sell fresh meat, deli, bakery, and frozen food as well as grocery items. There is a Super Target right around the corner from the Costco at Milenia.

John Young Pkwy: That's good info. The one we were planning to go to (ended up not having time) would have probably involved a toll road. If google maps marks toll roads, idk how to read that.
