My Mum was telling me how my Uncle loves Costco and that they get loads of American groceries there!

I got very excited at the prospect, so Jack and I might register.

Do any of you go there? Am we going to be dissappointed as Jack's now imagining having 100 twinkies in our pantry, and I want a case of Diet Mountain Dew! :rotfl:

Last time I was there I noticed mountain dew energy, they have ghiredelli (sp) cooking kits (cookies, brownies, and chocolate cake) very nice, and everyone who comes to my house loves them.

If you go make sure you go to the bakery section the pastries are to die for :thumbsup2

Birthday cakes made to order fantastic value massive cake decorated/personalised £13.

Any other question just ask going tomorrow as purchasing a carpet cleaner £130 :thumbsup2

i went sat and spent way too much money:eek:
yes they sell mountain dew, as an energy drink, ghiradelli cake mixes and hershey chocolates.
no reece pieces tho, if you have the space, its worth buying in bulk,

They do have certain 'rules', they're not listed on the website though. I'm sure from the ones I remember, you can be part of the NHS, schools etc. You have to take in proof of work also.

I think non-trade customers can only enter after a certain time also, it may be 11am.

Yeah public sector workers also, mon-fri entry after 11 sat 930 sun normal trading times.

Much prefer it than mark.

Got some great toy/book bargains. I saw a vtech toy 24.99, in shops it was 40.

Costco is a great store even here in the US but man you need a ton of storage space to keep all the stuff! I used to have a membership but I didn't renew it this year because it's 50$ and I found I didn't go all that much. They are supposed to have a rep coming to my work sometime soon so maybe I'll get a new membership if they have some good incentives.:thumbsup2 Oh yeah and the prices for gas is really cheap but I don't know if they have that in the UK.:confused3

I used to have a costco card when i worked in a school, I also used it in costco kissimmee, got some great bargains there!
might give them a ring and see if i can re join although i no longer work in a school

Have you not still got your card if so just ask to renew it, not sure what you need to renew. Mine due this month

We go to Costco quite regularly. I find the childrens books quite cheap, DH likes some of the mens clothes, undies and footwear. I haven't bought Uggs there but my friend came with me once and she bought some as she said they were quite cheap. I dream of eating the whole bakery section and often come away with cookies and bagels. We also buy Ghiradelli baking kits, Hershey chocolate milk, meat (their venison is lovely) and generally anything that we see that we fancy. I don't always think it's cheap but it is the only place to buy certain items that you miss from the States :thumbsup2

Oh i love costco! We buy so much from there!

Cakes and Pastries are to die for! Yummy and cheap!
Usually do good deals on UGG boots and Crocs when they have them in too.

I think sometimes people can be disappointed with Costco as they think it's going to be really cheap. My experience has been that the stuff tends to be cheap for the quality, but not necessarily the cheapest available. Love the bakery goods :D
