Sam's has the most limited selection of the wholesale clubs, IMO.
Costco is a bit better, but pretty comparable. Their cakes are better.
BJ's, IMO, is by far the best of the three. They have smaller quantities available in the produce and meat depts, but at the same prices. This is grest for us, as we only have 3 in our family, and if we had to buy a three-pack of lettuce, most of it would go bad before we could use it! They have a much bigger selection of most things... more toys, more brands of canned goods, more books, CDs, etc.
I have had memberships to all three in the past couple of years. Currently, I belong to Costco, but would want to go to BJ's if I had my choice. BJ's is just too far away- I'd have to pass Costco and Sam's to get there. So, since Costco is closest, that's where we belong.

! Of course the machine was broke
. I bought some contact lense solution, a 3 pack for less than $8! I've bought optifree for the last 10 years but decided to try the Kirkland brand. What a bargain! I don't even know if Sams has their own brand, never even looked to buy it there.
