Has anyone gone thru Costco to vacation at an all inclusive resort?

Some of the prices seem very good but I checked on the reviews of one of the resorts they listed, a couple of months ago, and it wasn't very good. Mostly, the food was reviewed an terrible.

Has anyone had a very successful trip to a resort they list (other than Disney)? TIA

NO!!!!!!! and have tried it thru another one as well. Had half the ceiling hanging when we arrived . One we had to pay again------------------when we got there as was so bad had to go to another hotel so we gave up and we ONLY use Disney travel and *********** is good as well. but we do not do discounts on rooms we take the free dining as it works best for us in savings. 60th trip in September yeah:banana:

This is kinda' what I'm seeing in online reviews. :sad2: I was hoping someone, somewhere had had a good trip. :)

The lead-in lowest pricing you see at Costco, BJ's, and any others are for budget resorts that ANY TA (yes Costco and others partner with agencies, even if that agency is Expedia or other online megas) can get, but most good TA's wouldn't recommend to a client if they want to keep them as a client if you know what I mean. Bad reviews, poor facilties, bad food, bad beach, old rooms, etc.

There are often good deals at better resorts too, but they are for a reason: some remodling or construction going on, off season or a bad weather time of year, just got re-named or refurbished under a different brand, special event was booked at the resort and cancelled so there are lots of extra rooms, any number of reasons.

IMHO a deal is not a deal if the vacation is lousy and causes stress. Much better to spend a few extra bucks to get what you want or to book a legitimate deal. There are lots of moderate all-inclusives that I'm sure would fit your vacation needs, they just price out higher to begin with since they offer more and are in higher demand. A good TA with experience in that destination, or recent good reviews from your friends who have traveled there are good places to start.
