Costco Ticket Upgrade

If I wanted to upgrade an Costco 4-day ticket to an AP, does that have to be done *before* I use any of the days on the ticket? I know it's a $192 credit towards upgrade (that's in the fine print), but it doesn't say when the upgrade would have to be done.

I would do it after you use your MM. At the latest, upgrade on your 4th day before they close. I'm not sure which AP you are going to get...if you upgrade early for the discounts keep blackout days in mind.

We upgraded 3 day costco park hoppers to 6 day park hoppers on the 3rd day - we asked at the ticket booth the day we arrived, they recommended waiting until the last day so we could be sure we still wanted the extra days. I'm guessing it would be the same for any upgrade, but you could check on your first day just to be sure. If you get the premium pass, it comes with free parking and discounts on merchandise and meals - might be worth doing on the first day just for those savings.

We are thinking of upgrading my DH on the first day we arrive to get the discounts. I may use the MMon mine and then upgrade.
