Hi Everyone!:goodvibes

Saw that Costco has 3 day ticket for around $130 or so. The back of the package says the ticket doesn't expire until Dec 2014. However, it's not clear that you can use one day now, one day next year, etc, or if you have to use all at once. I assume you can use any day of the ticket at any time, is that right?

Also, how does this work? Do I get a photo id, or some sort of biometric coding, when I activate the ticket? Or can I use it one day, and give it to a friend to use the rest on another trip?

Finally - as the winner of the wishful thinking award - I don't suppose I could use all 3 "days" on the same day, for 3 different people in my family?:confused3:rolleyes1

We are going for one day only next month, but we have family in the area, so I could see going again in another summer if we had the leftover tix. Of course, I have left over no-expiration park hoppers that I spent $$$$ on a few years back, ok, at least 4 years back, that i am afraid I will lose before ever using them.:scared1:

Yes, you can use the days as you desire until they are either used up or 2014 arrives.

You will need to give a biometric scan of your finger, so the tickets aren't transferable.

Theme park tickets are not transferable...regardless of where they were purchased.

Awesome; I hadn't realized they were also hoppers! That is a great bonus!:cool1:

Are you sure they are park hoppers? I was at Costco on Saturday and looked at them. They did not say anything about being park hoppers. It just said it was a three day ticket. I did not buy them since I was not sure.

Scans that we've had of the ticket in the past, say that they are park to park.

See where it says park to park at the top?

See where it compares it to the price of one day park to park tickets/

Yes, i see it now. I must have missed it. Thank you. I will go back and buy them. :thumbsup2

Look what i just found:
Universal Orlando is taking a cue from Disney and has raised its ticket prices, just one week after Walt Disney World did the same thing. A one-day, one-park ticket at Universal is now $85, the same as a ticket to Disney. Presumably, the continued popularity of the one-year old Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a factor in the increase. Universal raised other ticket prices as well; the three-day ticket had the highest increase, jumping from $139.99 to $155.99. The seven-day ticket option is no longer available, and is being replaced by a 14-day unlimited admission ticket good for Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Wet 'n Wild water park for $194.99.

I guess I need to run out and get some! as it would save us $90 now

is there a way to CONFIRM COSTCO tickets are hoppers, if so, I need to run out and get some! as it would save us $90 now.

they are hoppers. It says so on the ticket.

sorry I missed the scanned picture, didnt read before i posted!
I am going to go by my Costco tonight and hope they are still there.

Doe anyone know if I can upgrade these tickets to four days at the park?
I want to go buy them but it will only be advantageous if I can upgrade.

TIA

I bought the 3 days at Costco yesterday  but I could've sworn they were around $135 last week. They are now $139 as in the picture above.

Still, beats the price increase at the Parks!:cool1:

buying your tickets on line before you go would give you a discount.
cheaper to buy tickets that way then wait until you are at the park.

Really stupid question....can you go to IOA, then US, and then back to IOA the same day?

I bought the Costco tickets myself, but we may only get to do "Universal" one day. I *think* we are going to save the other two ticket admission for the next trip.

IF you dont belong to Costco can you still get the tickets? (We belong to BJs and I know if you dont you can go for the day and pay and upcharge to shop for the day.)

yes you can.
your hand will be stamped and you keep your ticket with you for readmission to the other park.

that is if you have the hopper ticket..

We do indeed...I just want to be able to go back if we want to ride more rides in the evening, have dinner over there instead of at US, and get DD's Harry Potter souvenirs.

I don't think they hand stamp anymore. When you go through the turnstiles the first time, a biometric scan of your finger is taken. Each subsequent time you enter, your scan is taken and compared to the original to make sure the same person is using the ticket. You can leave and return as often as you like to either park. All that info is stored in their computer.
