Costco Park Hopper

The fact that the tickets don’t require usage of all three days within the normal time period tells me that they will probably be bridged differently than other discounted tickets.

How do they give you the ticket? Is it a physical voucher, emailed to you, etc? My sister is in San Diego and wondering if I should have her buy them before she comes for a visit or if she can just email them to me.

It is an actual paper ticket and a plastic gift card sealed in an envelope. There is a code on the back of the ticket that you can use to link the ticket to the Disneyland app and then you are able to use that to scan into the park. There is also the gift card number on the back of the gift card that you can manually enter on mobile order. So if someone buys them for you they can just send you a picture of the backs of the cards and you can use them that way.

I wish these had been out when I bought my tickets for June! Looks like an amazing deal.

Now I wish I took a closer look when I saw them at Costco yesterday. I only go for one or two days at a time. It was posted on Reddit that the 3 days had to be within 13 days of the first day used. Since I didn't think that would work for me, I just walked past the display. If I go to Costco again soon, I'll definitely look it over carefully.

For anyone looking for these, I found a tip on Reddit. In the Costco app, click the warehouse button at the bottom, then search for 1947949. It will show where it’s in stock!
Thanks for the tip — they are currently in stock for me. I have a MK, but was thinking about getting tickets for my young adult kid who doesn’t have a MK, and it would be nice to be able to park hop with the rest of us. I was planning to get them (kid + partner) the $400 4 day anniversary ticket, but I think these would be a better deal in terms of everyone being able to park hop and have LL.

Are we 100% positive these don’t have a fuse on them? There is no way the tickets would be able to be used over the course of 13 days.

This is purely anecdotal but when making reservations for this ticket, it lets you span the reservations over the entire validity period, whereas if you try to buy a standard ticket on the website, it clearly shows anything beyond the 13 days as greyed out.

OK, still playing around with the upgrade/adding a day idea. If I'm reading this right, the price for that would be $96 between a 3 day and 4 day with park hopper and LL. So that is still a pretty good deal for a one day ticket. That would put you at $546 for 4 days, which is still more than $100 off the gate price. Would love updates from anyone who has tried to add days!
So, I just noticed that there is now a "change your Theme Park Tickets" option in the "My Disneyland" section of the website (so apparently you can self-service to add days, which is new to me). Going through the steps in that process, it would convert the Costco special ticket back to a standard 4-day ticket (expiring in 13 days) and charge $149 for the "Park Hopper" and $128 for lightning lane for a total additional cost of $277:

If anyone has seen them in Washington, let me know where (none at the Shoreline store north of Seattle). I have family all over the state I can make go chase them down. 🤣
They have them in Spokane. The Valley Costco sold out but they said they’re getting 400 more in today. They still had some at Northside Costco as of yesterday so I drove up there and got mine. Once they sell out they take down the kiosk. The kiosks in Spokane are located just after entering and walking down the coupon sale items.

Thanks for trying that out! I have never done it in the app before. I've always gone to the ticket window after I've activated it. I wonder if that makes a difference. Interesting! Hopefully we'll get more kind folks experimenting soon! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Since ultimately they are using the same software, I would expect the pricing in the app and at the window to work out the same. Over the last few years, Disney has been tightening up and fixing all these nice little extras that we had been regarding as happy loopholes: no longer being able to use an annual pass (now Magic Key) on a block out day if you activate/renew/upgrade that day and no longer being able to game lightning lane and use acceleration of lightning lane with a multi-experience pass are two other fixes that come to mind. The first was most likely a policy and the second was probably a software issue (but not one they could have been unaware of), so it is clear that Disney has been making an effort to optimize both policies and software as they continue their profit maximizing efforts. It wouldn't surprise me any if they are now only applying actual value paid for promotional tickets toward upgrades.

When I bought some today, they recorded my membership number, name, and how many I bought. Did that happen to anyone else?

We just bought ours from Costco in Sacramento yesterday. They still had a ton of cardboard sleeves out at the front of the store as you entered, and you just brought one sleeve to the register and told them how many you wanted. I’m sure they can track how many we bought since everything you buy is tied to your membership number, but I didn’t notice them doing anything special to keep track. They kept the sleeve and at merchandise pickup they gave us three sealed envelopes with the paper tickets and dining gift cards. Our son loved opening the envelope and getting his ticket - much more exciting then the last few times when I bought the tickets online or from DVC member services. I wish we could combine the gift cards to one just for ease of use, but they seem to be locked - you can’t transfer or add money to the cards online. All in all a great deal and it was super easy to purchase.

It would be nice if Costco would open these tickets up to all their members. Planning to go to DL for a couple of days at the end of August but I live in MA. :sad2:

Thanks for the update. I have been flirting with the idea of getting some as a gift for my kid. These definitely don't have a fuse? Like you could for example reserve a date in July, another in September, and then another in November rather than have to use all the days up within a 13 day period?

As far as I can tell, no fuse. They can be used anytime up through December 19, and do not have to all be used within 13 days.

Just picked up 3 of these at the Salem, OR Costco today. Already had a tripped planned for late August for my son’s 3rd birthday (last free trip!). Now Mom, Dad, and older Sister are covered!
