Costco / Kirkland boots (ugg style) any good?

My DD needs new boots this year & she is up to a size 9 (womens sizing & she isn't even 11 yet ) & still growing! I don't want to spend a fortune on real Uggs. I bought her knock offs at sears last year & they held up OK.

How are the ugg style boots from Costco? Do they fit pretty true to size? Do they run wide or narrow? Do they hold up well?

Also do any of the ugg style boots have arch support? Her feet tend to turn in & she ended up wearing last years boots in a weird way because of that. She was pretty much walking on the leather by the end of winter. Are there boots with support? or should I just buy her an arch support insole?

Thanks in advance!

Love the Kirkland brand boots! I've got Uggs as well and I am more likely to wear the Costco boots (I'm too terrified to mess up the expensive Uggs!). I have both the regular boots and then the knit ones from Costco. They fit true to size in my case.

I don't know about Kirkland brand. I DO know what it is like to have a 10 yr old w/ size 9 women. What is in their vitamins?

I LOVE my Uggs. But little to know arch support in any of these types of slip on boots.

What has worked for us:

Amazon! Many BearPaws -- The thing with Amazon is that price varies by size and stock. I spend about a week on and off at various times of day. My daughter likes COLOR, she is still too young to care if it was last year's or the 2 years ago style. I've also bought Uggs via Amazon. I've gotten as low as $35, but $40-$50 is my average.

Avon -- Their boots hold up as well as Bearpaws, but the inside is not as soft or warm. You must wear socks with theirs. They usually run around $30 and are true to size.

My friend had luck with BearPaws at Macy's using a Macy's coupon.

I did promise my daughter when her feet stopped growing I'd get her Uggs but she'd need to keep them 3-5 years. I wear mine from October - April and normally get 3 years of looking good and somewhere in year 4 or 5 I get holes in the toes.

We have had NO luck with RocketDog brand -- horrible arch, wears out very quickly.

I picked up a pair for my DDs 6 and 4 about a month ago. They wear them almost daily and play hard in them. I got the lighter brown/ tan color and it really shows dirt, but I am guessing your DD won't be running around the play ground, so that might be as big of an issue. I think for the price they are worth it. I think they will last the winter, but not longer. They say they are comfortable and want to wear them with everything.

This will be winter #3 for DD age 16's Costco Boots. So far so good!

And lately they have been doing double duty as her 12 yo sister has been wearing them!

I would definitely recommend them.

There were threads last year and two years ago, all with many positive reviews. As with uggs, they will stretch so if unsure of size go smaller.

Tried them last year for DD. Big mistake!! She got the black and they ended up staining her feet and tights pretty quickly. Needless to say we returned them right away.

My daughter's feet also got stained black from her Costco/Kirkland brand ones.

My DD11 just got a pair of the Kirkland black boots a few weeks ago and she has been wearing them frequently. She says that they are very comfortable, but they have stained her feet a bit black (she hasn't wore socks or tights with them yet) and she says that she scuffs the floors at school and one of her teachers is always asking who is messing up the floors.

I also got a pair for me, but I haven't worn them yet--I am still in flip flops--it's in the 60's here today.

If it is the pair for $39.99...

I bought a pair for my daughter who just entered woman's sizes...She finds them very cozy. But it hasn't gotten very cold yet. She was very excited to get them though and wears them quite a bit.

I hadn't really been paying attention on whether or not they stain her feet. But the solution perhaps would be dark socks?:confused3

I got some last winter and love them. I see that they now have gray and might get those this year.

The Kirkland boots are great! I have gray and wore them all winter without socks. I bet the staining is just with the black ones. Don't forget to spray them with Scotchguard or some other type of shoe protectant. My feet were warm ALL winter long and I never wore socks with them. Worth every penny.

My 2 DDs and myself LOVE them.

Great price. You can buy 3+ pairs for price of 1 UGGs.

Boo! They were $30 last year, $40 last week, and now they are up to $46!

I recently bought one pair of real Uggs and one pair of Kirkland fakes. Both are in the Bailey button style. We checked them out very carefully before they were worn. Materials and workmanship seem to be identical. Just a few weeks in, both are equally comfortable and nice looking.

Unless something really unforeseen happens with those Kirkland boots, I can't see us choosing to buy real Uggs again for top dollar.
