I had the best bottle of Pepsi EVER deep in the rainforest boonies in Belize at the Mayan ruins of Lamanai. I love the cane sugar sodas.

I am ashamed to say that I have no idea what Mexican Coke is???

I have been to Mexico and drank mostly rum and coke while there (lol), but I didn't know there was a difference.

The difference is the sweetener. Cane sugar really does taste so much better than corn syrup!!!

Our Costco has it. I'm in the SF/Bay Area. Orange Jarritos is the only sugar soda I really like though. They sell lots of Mexican sodas in the stores here.

We get Mexican cokes here in Texas. They come in glass bottles and are sold at convenience stores.

There is a difference in the taste. I don't really like them so much.

But man, there's nothing like a coke made in the USA cold in a glass bottle.

Pepsi? In Belize? That is very rare. There is a Coca Cola plant in Belize. The man who owns it owns like 30% of everything in Belize. Everywhere we went we only saw Coke signs and ads. Even in the jungle at Chan Chich Lodge.

I actually prefer Pepsi and it was quite a bummer that I could never get one.

It was Pepsi. I am a Pepsi girl so I notice these things!!! It may have been bottled in Mexico for all I know, but it seriously hit the spot. We were also fed a wonderful rice/beans/chicken meal by the local ladies!

Hey, we were too! That was wonderful! And we even got invited to a party on a pier with the locals. It was a BLAST. It was one great Honeymoon!
