Does anyone know how much we would save off of lowest DCL rate using Costco (Jan 27, '05, cat. 6 or better)? (2adult, 2 children)

We would not use the Costco membership except for the DCL discount, and I didn't know if we would save more than the $45 membership fee (they cannot price it for me since I am not yet a member). I can currently find it at DCL for $2047, and at Cruises & Tours Unlimited for $1900, and at mycruisevalue.com for $1850.

Do you think Costco can beat the $1900? (I am concerned about using the cheapest one because of previous threads written about that agency).

Thanks!

Terri

For my 1/8/05 sailing for just 2 adults we saved almost $300.00. It is worth the membership.

switching from DCL to Costco........our quote with DCL was $7920.65 and costco came in at $7222.65........savings of $698.00
So, take the DCL rate and figure approx 10% off the discount from costco

Don't know who told you they won't give you a quote but thats not true. when you call tekk them you want a quote. if they ask for your card tell them you don't have one or that you don't have it in front of you at the time, they will tell you that they can give you only one without the number. but if your not trying to compare dates and prices then you don't need more then one. No big deal. I have called so many times asking them about differant dates and prices. I have changed our cruise twice now with them and I'm going to change it to 06 now so we can have two days at CC. Just call them.

I called Costco the other day and asked for a one time quote and they told me that you have to be a member that they can not give you a quote with out it. i used them and saved about 10% off the cheapest quote I got( I saved $300)

I just called costco and they said for the 3 day cruise for 2A/2C in a Cat 6 would be $1883.52. So, it looks like you will be better off with somebody else after you factor in the $45 membership rate.

We booked a cat 6 for 6/24/06 7 night sailing. (2 adults 1 child)
our cost was $5496 through Dreams. I called Costco and saved $290.00.

Even with the savings I went with Dreams because I have had wonderful service in the past. I didn't want to mess up a good thing.

You might want to give Dana a call at micdan.com We saved 10% off DCL price on our cruise and you do not need to be a member. The number is 1-800-385-8233. She comes highly recomended from these boards.

I was just going to say to call Dana. I also changed my resie from DCL to Disney and saved almost $400 about 10%. Only problem is I'm leary if a problem arises. Dana was so nice and helpful..but once I switched my ressie to Costco and there are no more cabins available Dana couldn't do a thing. I wished I had known about her in May when I booked.
