Ok, we are considering getting an membership to one of these places, and I just wanted opinions as to which one is best.

Thanks!

I have a BJ's membership simply because it is two blocks away. We went to a Costco but the drive was too far and the parking lot was a nightmare. And as for Sam's, I'm not a Walmart fan, so I haven't even considered it.

A plus with BJ's is that they take coupons!

Wow this is the3rd or 4 time this has come up in the last 6 months or so.
Yyou might want to check those thread too, just to see

BJ's is my favorite, although I am considering getting a Costco membership again. Mainly because Costco has a really good brand of instant mashed potatoes, and I can get capers there a lot cheaper. Oh and frozen organic green beans and their brand of tissues.

I do most of my regular shopping at BJ's. Paper products, frozen foods, poultry, prepared meats (luncheon meats, hot dogs, sausages etc) canned goods, snacks, gas etc. Organic Dairy products and cleaning products too,

I hate Sam's club, but then again haven't been in one in about 10 years. I had a really bad experience with their tire department, and they started phasing out a lot of things I bought regularly when they bought out PACE (started out with PACE memebership )

I have both Bj and Costco and the winner is Costco hands down. Better prices, better atmosphere, better quality more helpful staff!

OMG! Taylor just winked at me.

How about another selection for "These places don't save you money, in fact they cost you MORE money, but they ARE worth it because they're so darn much fun." :)

I voted Sams - we recently gave up our Sam's membership for BJs and I'm sorry we did.

We don't have a Costco, so I can't say.

I leave in the heart of cheapskate country - I don't understand why we don't have a Costco? :confused3

Costco's.

What I like about Costco...

*the big boxes of Nancy's mini-quiches...cheaper than the local grocery store plus they're great for church/school functions where you're asked to "bring something".

*Cooked whole chickens...the price is only $4.99, it's bigger AND cheaper than anyplace else

*Tires...They always have good prices on tires, plus their included warranties cover road damage, lifetime balancing, etc. Their SALE prices are GREAT, better than any other tire prices I have ever found.

*Electronics...TVs, fancy calculator for DD's Algebra class, digital camera, video camera. Their return policy is very good as well.

*Nuts...They have THE cheapest prices on walnuts, almonds, etc.

*Supplements...Need vitamins, or dietary supplements? Good prices here!

*Claritin...The Costco version is about $12-$14(I think) for over 300 tablets. CHEAPEST price around! Next time you're in the grocery store/drug store, check out how much Claritin and the generic "Claritin" is...shockingly expensive.

*Skin care...cheapest prices on Oil of Olay Regenerist around, much better than Target.

*Glasses...I fully intend to get my next pairs at our local Costco. Someone told me that they saved over $100 compared to Hour Eyes.

*Salmon...good price, plus the fish we have gotten at Costco is *always* fresh.

I could go on(and on and on...), but you get the idea!
agnes!

Costco is great. And you can have a really good slice of pizza or a hotdog and drink for really cheap after you shop. I hate that Sams has McDonalds because I refuse to eat there. On the whole I have found Costco to be better than Sams. I can't say anything for BJ's because I've never heard of them before. Costco is also great because you can visit them worldwide. My DBF has a membership from Taiwan and we use it regularly here. So Cool!

Costco! Costco! Costco!

I'm leaving on a Costco run in a few minutes, and taking another unsuspecting victim with me. She's never been before :rotfl:

I had Sam's when it was the only option available to me, and switched to Costco as soon as it opened here. We don't have BJ's so know nothing about that one.

WARNING: Costco is like going to Target, you never know what cute something you'll see and can't live without, that wasn't on your list. I firmly believe the carts at Costco are secretly programmed to not let you approach the checkout lanes until there is at least $100 and preferably $200 of stuff in it. Happens every time - you run in for 5 things and come out with $100 of stuff you didn't know you needed.

Costco... $1.59 ( in PA ) gets you a huge, really good hot dog, with a refillable soda! That alone makes it worth the price of admission.

Seriously, I have had all three ( Sam's club was a gift to me from someone who didn't know I am anti Wal-Mart ).... If I was a Wal-Mart kinda guy, it would have been just fine.

We LOVE Costco. BJ's... eh... not so much.

Costco.... AKA "the $200 store".

How did I know you would pop in with a Costco hot dog comment? :lmao:

Zip it about Taylor, man!

Yeah, another vote for the winking Taylor wiggs me out.

No Costco in my area and Sam's is on the other side of town. I'm a BJ's girl myself! ;)

Costco!

I've had memberships to all three, and Costco (forever Price Club here) is my favorite. You can shop online with them, don't know about the other two.

I'm always in the one by me here, even with the construction nearby. My one wish is that they add the gas pumps. I was spoiled up north, in that the one right by my house and the one right by work both had gas stations.

Our Sam's doesnt have a Mcdonalds in it :confused3 .. They have the little place that sells, pizza , hotdogs, etc.. Its cheap, you can get a hotdog and a drink 1.50$, what a deal. ;)

I've done both Costco and Sams, and I vote for Costco over Sam's Club a million times over. I think the quality, atmosphere, selection, and prices are all superior at Costco to Sam's. There are regular sales with bonus coupons that are an amazing deal on already great prices. I've even done price comparisons by taking in my list and marking the sizes and prices in both stores and then figured out which was cheaper, and Costco won with $107 to Sam's $134. So yes, I'm a big Costco fan, and I'm not so fond of Sam's anymore. I've never been in a BJ's, so I can't compare there.

Not to be really dumb (although it is my specialty), but where in NH is there a Costco? I've been to some of them in Mass, but never up here.

My vote's for BJ's, only because it's the closest one to me.

There's one on the NH/MA border in, or right around Nashua. :)
