Last week, I got prices from Costco (and AAA, etc) for my family going in October (4 rooms, 10 people total) and they were quoting me prices with the 4th night free. This was for the DH. Now, the prices are higher (all for the same std view), and I don't see the 4th night free. :confused3 Any suggestions or tidbits of info??

what I do not understand is how when you book through DL travel you can only book up to 4 nights at a time?

I was getting the quote from Costco Travel. do you mean 4 rooms at a time? I don't know if I can do that through Costco. I wanted to book from Oct 10-14 at DHR...

I am sorry I did mean costco travel you can not book more than 4 nights at a time at any of the disneyland resorts.

Oh.. I didn't know. But we are planning to stay 4 nights, from Wed 10/10 and leave on Sunday morning... Just last week the prices were $200+ lower for each room... And it said 4th night free. But not today. Strange.

Even though a hotel may have hundreds of rooms, they will only allocate a percentage of their rooms to any given promotion. If the hotel's allotment of 4th night free rooms are gone, then even though they have space, you won't get the deal. You can sometimes have something open up, but it's not guaranteed. We lucked out, as a couple of days after booking a standard view room at the GCH on the promotion, a view room became available that previously wasn't on offer - we were able to change our package. My suggestion would be to book the hotel if it's where you know you want to stay, but keep checking to see if they either add more rooms to the promotion for your dates, or in case of cancellations. For 4 rooms, though, it will be less likely.

I'm not that surprised that the quote that you got last week is no longer available. This is a very popular promotion, and as Disnee says, only a limited number of rooms tend to be available for any particular date. It's been my experience that the DLH standard rooms sell out first for promos. You might try a view room and/or PPH or GCH. Or you might consider changing your dates. (Upgrading to view rooms and changing my dates slightly have both worked for me before for obtaining promo packages). You might also try quoting just one room. They may be able to courtesy hold that while you quote another. Look a little closer at your options and you still might be able to swing a 4th night free deal at one of the Disney properties.

Maybe it simply sold out. However, I wonder what time you checked, and if you checked online? I checked for my wanted upgrade through the costco/disney portal in the middle of the night, two nights ago, and it showed *nothing* was available. No error message, just that whatever I looked at was not available. Checked around 10am yesterday (pacific time) and the rooms were back. So I called and changed quickly.

Maybe if you checked like I did before, it's just an oddity, not a true sellout?

You can also try getawaytoday.com. They sometimes will still have rooms after Disney sells out of the pacakged rooms.

I just tried AAA online for 10/10-10/14. DLH is available, but not with the 4th night free. However, a view room at PPH is available with 4th night free, and DLH is available 10/9-10/13 with 4th night free standard or view room. (Sat. nights are often more in demand) I was just pricing one room, so I don't know if its possible to still grab 4 rooms on the promo with either of the options noted.

I couldnt even figure out how to book more than one room at Costco.com. It simply said we had too many people and we'd have to get a suite, when what I wanted to do was get two rooms. :confused3 You have to be smarter than the computer program I guess... shoot!:sad2:
