Can anyone give me a rough estimation of how much I should be prepared to spend on a wishes wedding, (not including travel or accommodation) please?

I'm thinking of having:

- ceremony in japan
- reception in living seas? for approx 50 guests
- dessert party at uk
- photography

As far as budget is concerned, I'm completely lost

Thanks

Kayleigh

It's going to be at least $10,000, of course, since that's the minimum, but depending on your choices you may be able to keep it right in that ballpark.

Off the top of my head...

- ceremony in japan
Site Fee = $1,600
Sound system = $800
Buses = $450 each, max of 47 people, so you may need 2 busses, depending on guest count
Floral/decor = up to you. If you don't want black plastic chairs you'll need to get covers at $8 apiece or pay $150 to bring in wooden chairs that cost $5 apiece.

- reception in living seas? for approx 50 guests
Brunch menus start at around $30 pp. You could probably do a cheap dinner for around $50pp.
-Drink packages start at around $20 pp. You can also do billed on consumption, but it's harder for me to estimate.
Standard table linens are navy, so you'll need to pay to change them if you don't want that.
- DJ: $1500+ or Pianist: $820 (this is with a piano rental - perhaps it will be cheaper at LS b/c the piano's already there)
-Floral = up to you. Figure on $100 each for centerpieces
-Cake = $500-$900, depending on the style

- dessert party at uk
Around $2,000 if you provide transportation for your guests and get the cheapest menu and have no decor
- photography
Disney's bare-bones photo package is $1,300-$1,700 for 3 hours. The more popular packages range from $3,000-$5,000.

A better way to estimate is to look through the PJs of other brides here to see how much they paid for all the elements you want at your wedding. :thumbsup2

Thanks Lurky for posting the ballpark figures! It really does help to just see estimations on everything! :goodvibes

we are not having ours in japan but we have the wp, whitehall room and patio and dessert party for 18 people and ours is $12997 and we have a duo plated meal and the landau coach and a few other extras as well

Glad I could help! I never thought I could afford a Disney wedding till I started looking through peoples' planning journals and posted BEOs to price out all the elements I wanted. I put together a fake budget (knowing that the prices would be higher by the time I signed my contract) that showed me we could actually pull off a Wishes wedding for the $10,000 minimum.

Do check out Orangetiggs PJ - she is getting a lot of bang for her buck at the most expensive venues! :thumbsup2

These are unfortunately ballparks. Disney usually increases prices it seems almost twice a year. I could tell you what I paid two years ago but that isn't going to help. Since your prices are not finalized until you sign your contract, sign up for the wish book that may help as well as the complete estimate by Carrie.

Make sure that you come with the items that are negotiable or non-negotiable. We can help you get down the cost after you recover from the fainting spell of that first BEO!
