Cost to upgrade to Deluxe Plan with Free Dining?

We have the free Dining Plan. (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack)/night. How much would it cost to upgrade to the Deluxe Plan?

We JUST went through this tonight.

Online it came up to a $450ish increase for 2 adults, 2 kids.

When I called to ask a Customer Service rep, she said $700ish, though I think she messed up the promotion on the room.

We considered it... but dollar for dollar, it's about the same.

DDP = $42 / night for adults, $12 / night for kids
DxDDP = $72 / night for adults, $21 / night for kids

So, the cost would be $30 per night per adult plus $9 per night per child.

One simple method we use to find out the cost of upgrading to the next plan is to go to the WDW website and put our details into the booking system. We then upgrade from the FD to the Deluxe Plan and minus the FD cost from the new cost, which provides us with the extra amount we are paying to get the Deluxe plan.

Cafeen is absolutely correct -- the upgrade cost is the difference between the two plans' list prices.

If you're traveling between December 17-31, the price of the basic plan goes up, so the difference becomes $25/adult/night and $8/child/night.
