Anyone upgraded a 14 day ultimate to an annual pass lately? just want to know approx how much credit they will give, the in laws have the ultimate pass and are thinking of upgrading.

Didnt know they did this sam? This would work out well for us as not doing waterparks this year but will be going back before next november.Presume if we swapped for the annual pass we wouldnt have to buy more tickets for our next trip??:confused3

not too sure this can be done, as they will upgrade tickets that they sell in the uk
The ultimate is a UK only ticket so its not in there system, but someone might have done it
If you can do it you would have to do it before using it
Hope this helps
Paul

Can be done Paul but you have to find a CM that knows how to do it, most sucess I have heard of is at Guest service in Hollywood Studios or DTD(don't know which)
It has to be the Premium Annual Pass you upgrade to, as far as I know there isn't a way to upgrade to the cheaper one(unless anyone knows different)
If you have free dining then it is better to do on the last day of the ticket as it has been known to lose dining credits thru the upgrade process. No free dining, then it can be done anytime between arrival and its last day of validity. End date of AP will be backdated to start date of the original Ultimate ticket.

After reading the themepark thread I decided to email figment as I could not find the exact answer. This is what he said:-

Im sorry to bother you.I have read through your thread and just wanted to know if a UK ultimate ticket can be upgraded to an annual pass?
It is a 14 day park hopper with waterparks etc on.If so would I have to upgrade after it is used? Also as we are having the free DDP would I still be able to use this by just using my boyfriends KTTW card as dining credits on all cards.
We are hoping to buy into DVC in november and hoping to return next august so by upgrading would save buying more tickets.I am not bothered about water parks option.DO you know how much it would be to upgrade?
Thankyou
alyson
Yes. You can upgrade a UK 14 (or 21) day Ultimate ticket to an AP. It can only be done at a theme park Guest Relations Office. They will compute the value in US$ at whatever is the rate of exchange that day, and give you that amount5 of credit toward the purchase.

Ber aware of the pricing difference between the DVC Member AP and the "Tourist" AP. Also, if you use any of the water park or DQ entries on the Ultimate you would only be able to upgrade to a Premium AP.

And if the person has any problem, ask them to look at the Upgrade Eligibility Chart.

I also read that it is better to upgrade once the card is activated and to use another memebers card to use DDP credits which makes sense if only one of you upgrades to annual pass.

Hope this helps.
:thumbsup2

Thanks Alyson, more or less confirms what I have been telling people but its interesting about upgrading after waterpark or DQ use. What he is saying is you can upgrade to the cheaper AP if you have not used these on your Ultimates.

Thats how I read it wayne yes. I am definatley going to do it and DB may as well .As my mom is with us we can then use her card or charlottes for the DDP as we have purchased 4 adult tickets. Just need to work out cost to updrade now and find the thread that says how much the AP are.:happytv:

This is interesting because this is what we were planning to do - we will have the 14 day ticket but are actually staying 17 nights - so if we upgrade to PAP on day 14, say, does that mean we might lose our free dining for the rest of the stay? Tricky!

Never tried it myself all I can go on is what others have posted, a few have been advised to wait until their last day when dining credits have been used, I don't know if credits have been lost or its just easier to do without credits.

Wonder if it might be better to go for the 21 day pass just to make sure - it wouldn't make any difference if we knew we could definately upgrade to the PAP anyway.
