Cost to send an Owl?

My daughters would love to send an Owl to their friends. Does anyone know the price and how it is done?

I know you can send a postcard or letter with a special postmark from inside the Wizarding World. Or you could buy a stuffed owl as a souvie. I don't think there is anything else that can be sent though?

I was under the impression it was just the cost of the supplies (postcards, stamps, etc) but I could very well be wrong.

You can either buy the postcards and stamps there and they will postmark it and send it or you can bring your own and they will still postmark it for you for no extra charge. The stamps are considered collectibles so the AP discount cannot be applied and they cost about $13 for 10 stamps if I remember right.

I was there this past week. There were 4 different postcards to choose from - each one costing $1.00. As previous poster said, you can buy a package of 10 stamps - 44 cents first class postage stamps - for $12.95. AAA discount doesn't apply to the stamps either. We mailed the postcards on Tuesday (one to ourselves in Maryland) - still haven't received it. Hogsmeade is stamped on the postcard before it gets sent.

What I did was bought the postcards ($1.00 each) and took it to the lady who does the postmark stamping. She is located outside the Owl Post at a small table to the side under the Owlery. She stamps them for free. I then took the cards home with me and sent them to my friends in envelopes. That way no other US postmarkings would be on the card. It only took 3 days for them to recieve the cards when I mailed them, but Im still waiting for one my friend mailed to me 3 weeks ago from Universal.
