Cost of your flight.

We looked at flights out of Vancouver thru WJ but they were 5500 for the six of us. We opted to drive to seattle and fly SW and snagged 1500US return for the 6 tickets. We live on Vancouver Island so I had to factor in the drive and ferry but that was Way cheaper than the 2 choices out of YVR. 19 days to go:cool1::cool1:

Same deal as Ted, $329/person, out of Halifax, one stop in New Jersey.

Best deal we've ever had out of Halifax. Best prior, was a direct flight with Transat for $420/person.

Not a big fan of the stop in NJ, much prefer direct flights, but hopefully it will not be too bad.

You, my friend, are my test pilot! :cool1:

I have googled EWR maps and it looks like you simply transfer from Terminal A to Terminal C.

Yeah, I've done the same thing because I've heard a few horror stories about Newark.

Turns out, most of the stories were related to having to collect bags in Newark, clear customs, re-check bags and then make your way to your connecting flight. Halifax Pre-Clearance for US Customs should make it much easier.

I'm not too concerned, but I also have no idea how the current security issues will affect us. Hopefully, it will not be a big deal, or maybe even back to normal by Feb 17.

5 of us flying from Buffalo in February...$896.00US which with the exchange rate when I booked back in Sept works out to $202CAN pp.

We paid between $570 to $1500 per person, all westjet leaving Calagry to Orlando.

We're in Manitoba, and drive down to Fargo with Allegiant Air. We wait for $150 pp return all fees & taxes in. Our average has been $150 - $200 pp US. We'll be going at least twice a year since we discovered these fares!

I really would have loved to fly out of the US for any of our trips.. it's the obviously cheaper...but we always fly out of Ottawa.

We usually can find anywhere from as low at $300 to as high as $450. I just bought for August flying from Ottawa to Toronto, Toronto to Orlando for 313 Each.

Which airline are you flying with? I booked my flights Toronto to Orlando with connections on departing and returning flights for $545 pp for August!

We paid $400 per person including all taxes to fly from Calgary to Orlando on continnential.....was really wanting the direct flight but it would have cost us $1000 more so with that we added 3 days to our trip and spent it at Clearwater Beach..........

Made for a long travel day, but my kids and us survived it.

I just paid, on Tuesday, Cdn$ 998.80 total return from Seattle to Orlando for 4 people on Continental. The next day the same flight went up to just over Cdn$1800 for 4. That was the first time I had seen it under $1000 Cdn. As soon as I saw it I snatched it up. We have to change planes in Denver but that's o.k. - I like to stretch my legs for a bit. I was going to wait for Southwest when they released their dates into September but the cheapest I have ever seen from Seattle was US$ 964 for 4 and with the exchange rate and the extra fee the credit card company charges to convert from US$ to Cdn$ it would have worked out to more than this flight.

Now I just have to find a good (and cheap) hotel in Seattle that is near to the airport and doesn't charge us an arm and a leg to park the car there for 15 days.

We are flying SW BUF-MCO over March Break. For the 4 of us, it was just under $1400, all in. The cheapest I was able to find out of YYZ was about double that price.

Our flights are usually around the $750 pp round trip. Last week I checked it was almost $900.00 pp. We drove and flew out of the U.S. twice last year and the cost for both of us was less than one of us flying from here. :confused3

Last August, we flew Seattle to Orlando, non-stop flight on Alaska Air for $139 each way pp. I used my points to get 50% off our flights. Ended up paying $659 (taxes in) for all 4 of us return. That was sweet.

Unfortunately, it has been about $700 (seat sale) per person roundtrip depending on the time of the year. :guilty:

SW- May 8 to 14th Buffalo to Mco $64 each way non stop and great times.

I just checked those times on southwest website and the lowest i can see is $114 each way.
Was that a special promo?

Take your pick there are serveral flights for $64.00 one way.

We are flying with Westjet, for the first time. Which kind of worries me as we have never flown through Toronto, I dont know what to expect. :sad2: At least once we fly from Ottawa to Toronto we have a direct flight to Orlando. The reason why i'm flying to Toronto first is to meet my family, then we will then fly together to MCO.

We usually depart from Ottawa (where there's pre-US custom clearance) with 1 connection in the US before landing at MCO.

We are travelling on Monday, August 16th to Wednesday, August 25th. It cost me $319.00 CDN. each, taxes and fees included.

Westjet was having a seat sale around January 7th, 2010.
