What would it cost if I wanted to use the taxi for a grocery trip? It seems that we might go with a delivery service but I'm wondering if anyone has the cost of the taxi round trip. We'd be staying at OKW.

Some of the car services will take you to the grocery store on your way from the airport.

The plan would be to use Magical Express or rent a car but the rentals are expensive now.

Thanks for the Mears info

I paid $28 to go one way to BCV from Mass at Queen of the Universe. The Publix is near the shrine. I know I've rented a car for less than $56 a day.

A grocery service is well worth the fee....it will save you a very valuable vacation commodity - time! Also, Bell Services can hold (and refrigerate) your delivery if you haven't yet arrived or are at a park. Happy planning!

Another vote for a grocery delivery service! I have used Garden Grocer many times with success. Time on vacation is very important, not to mention not having to fool with driving, parking, traffic, etc.

What Perditamarie said: even if the cab is cheaper (and its probably not), your time has value too. I'm a huge fan of having someone else do that shopping for me while I'm on vacation, particularly in a store that I'm not in every week, and don't have the layout memorized.

from OKW to Winn Dixie and the Liqour store and the round trip was $30 with tip. It may be a bit more with gas prices so high but we do it to avoid paying 30 to check a bag each way or more and we find everything there that we need.
