does anyone know the cost for photo development at disney? (film and digital)

I've got a horrible feeling you can't get films processed onsite anymore :(

To transfer all our memory cards onto a CD Rom cost about $12 or so from memory, a real bargain in my eyes as we put the contents of a 16mg, 64mg x 2 and a 256mg onto the CD Rom and there was still tonnes of room for me if we'd had any :)

Hi there,

I believe that they are stopping "wet" developing at Disney this year. Save yourself a fortune and develop the films at Walmart, it is 24hr and and excellent service.

I dont know about the price of developing but Ive also read that its stopping this year, I can tell you that the price of buying films there is pretty expensive! So take plenty with you!

We got our CD at Walgreens and it was only $3.49. It was done in a hour.

Don't know if it's still the same, but last september we had all our films developed at the picture shop in DTD.

They develop over night and ship back to your hotel room.

Can't remember the price but at the time we didn't think they were to expensive.

We've just got back - nowhere on Disney does it now. We used the 1 hour service at Walmart. Gives us an excuse to go shopping too.

:guilty:

was it wasy to get to walmart?

i am a little worried we'd get lost or something! we really dont know what to expect!

Its easy to get to Walgreens from Downtown Disney, as its literally just up the road. This is where we got our photo's transferred onto CD.

We used Walgreen's last year for photos and CD's and found them to be very cheap and good quality.

I had to buy a disposable camera quickly while visiting MK - our own camera malfunctioned  - boy, was that expensive!

I would also advise you to bring plenty film from home or go to Walgreen's or Walmart as all the parks (including Universal and Sea World) charge inflated prices for film.

It's a pity that they wont develop anymore. Last year, we got a couple of films developed and got a free trading pin (terrible Kodak one) but we traded it with a CM for one that was much nicer!!!

Why have they stopped developing onsite I wonder?

The CM we spoke to who downloaded our digital shots onto CD Rom told us it was because of guest feedback (ie not enough people wanted it anymore to make it worth doing)

I agree it's a shame.

The wet photo developing system is dying out.
In the UK many photo processing facilities have gone out of buisness and the big boys are closing factories.
Digital has come of age with cheap consumer cameras and the computer generation.

No sports or news photographer uses rolls of film any more, most wedding photographers have also changed ot digital.
