Cost of gas in your area..

Is the cost of gas in your area still going up? I had to break down and get gas today (upstate NY) - only two stations to choose from up here near the lake.. One was $2.79 a gallon and the other was $2.68 a gallon.. I got $20 worth (which gave me over 3/4's of a tank) and the attendant mentioned that tomorrow or the next day it will be going up again..

I wonder if we'll see $4+ by summer again?

still going up. Today I filled up for $2.44/gal. But, I drive a suburban (notice 5 kids, its that or a small bus), so I get bad mileage and the tank is huge. The pump cut off at $74 Still better than the over $100 last year.

BTW, I have the news on and Katie Couric just confirmed gas prices are going up.

I paid $2.77 yesterday.
Last week was $2.69.
The week before was $2.55.
Definitely still going up.

Although last year at this exact time, I was paying $4.55 so I guess I shouldn't complain too much...

There are supposedly a couple at $2.79, but everything I see in the area is $2.88 or higher. Generally, we can ask MIL/FIL what the gas prices are like in their Chicago suburb, add $.10 per gallon, and be in the ballpark.

It was $2.53 a gallon where I live in MA today, yesterday it was $2.50! We're driving down to WDW in September...these gas pricing better level off pretty soon!

$2.95 her seems to go up .10 every few days. I'm headed to the Jersey shore at the end of the month and won't be surprised, but upset if it reaches $4 by then

Slow drop this week from 2.58 back to 2.45 in Lexington. My coworkers are reporting 2.29 in southern KY to 2.79 in eastern KY.

Speedway hasn't done their .30 a gallon price maniuplation this week yet, so it's time to fill up tonight.

Cheapest here in Ballston Spa today was $2.619. Paid $2.459 this weekend in Bennington, VT.

The closest stations to us were both $2.49. A BP and a Citgo. Down the road at Hess it was $2.31. Guess where I filled the tank.

2.53 in Charlottesville, Va today. Was 2.49 for about 10 days until it went up today.
