Just the title. I am looking at multiple scenarios for transportation for a cruise I am considering this October. Wondering what the cost of taking Disney transportation from the airport would be?

Uber or taxi may also be an option, it will be myself,my husband, my mom and a good friend of hers all with at least one piece of luggage. Thanks for any insight

Weirdly, when I booked a transfer from the Port TO FLL airport last November, it was $29 per person. I thought it was $25. The airport is very very close to the Port. But no, not close enough to walk.

I cancelled it and 4 of us took a taxi which cost us $18 plus a $4 tip. When we debarked, there was a proper taxi line and a security guard who would match cabs with party size. (Like 2 people or 6 people). And where they were going.

Please take my advice and fly in at least the night before. You want to be on the ship waving bye-bye, not waving bye-bye to the ship because your plane was late.

Thanks for the advice- we always fly in at least one day before! Normally we cruise out of port Canaveral and use Disney transport from our Disney hotel, Fort Lauderdale will be a new experience for us! We were contemplating taking our hotel shuttle back to the airport for the transfers! Probably will just take a taxi or ride share!

There is little advantage, and not a great use of time, to bother with a transfer at FLL. There are more walkable restaurants on 17th Street than in Dania (though kids up to 10 may be VERY happy at Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor). Personal favorites in the 17th Street area are Quarterdeck, Mezaluna, and Southport Raw Bar. It's a longer walk, but 15th Street Fisheries is is good Little kids enjoy feeding the tarpon.

The Water Taxi is a nice way to explore Fort Lauderdale. You can catch it under the 17th Street bridge or at 15th Street, if staying in that area. If your captain has a bushy gray beard, it's probably Jeremy, a friend of mine.

I grew up in and around Port Everglades. We lived 6 blocks north of the port. My elementary school was around the corner from the port. My father worked in the park across from where Holland America ships dock. My mother taught at schools just south of the port.
