How much are real Christmas trees in your area?

I'm just wondering how much they cost everywhere.

We usually cut down a blue spruce, douglas or frasier for about $25 to $30.

Here they can be cut down for $10 or bought from a lot for $20-$35 or so.

I remember living in South Florida and it was nothing to pay $60 for a tree......and that was almost 20 years ago!!!!!

There is a local place in town that sells them for about $20-$30 and this includes free delivery anywhere in town. Once they bring the tree to your house, they cut the bottom and put it in the stand for you. We tried to offer a tip to the guy but they refuse. The money is all used for in town charities and programs such as, meals on wheels, food pantry, youth center etc. I think they would still do a great business if their prices were higher since the money is used for the town.

I second that. It is difficult to get a tree home without a pickup truck.

$15 at the grocery store; About the same or more to do a u-cut.

u-cut.....anywhere between $15 and $45 depending on the kind.

I live in NYC and buying a real christmas tree here can set you back $45 minimum! Yes, there are places to find trees for less, but they tend to be not as fresh or good quality. The place I have bought from in my neighborhood charges $45 for a 4 1/2 foot balsam. The same size fraser fir can run between $50-60. It is not unheard of for people to pay several hundred for an 8' fraser fir.

We usually drive to NJ and get one for much less.

Wal Mart and Home Depot are 9.95 here. We usually get ours from a local nursery for about $15.

I refuse to pay over $20 for a tree..I usually have at least 2 in the house

We have an acquaintance who owns a tree farm, so no matter how big of a tree we get it is only $20.00 :teeth:

We get ours for about $20 - $35 for a 7-8 ft for a spruce.

All you people are so lucky to live up North at Christmas. When we lived in Massachusetts, we'd go over to Love's Christmas Tree Farm and cut our own for $25. Nice and inexpensive and FRESH! First year down here, I went to buy a tree-$80! And it barely lasted til Christmas day. All the places that sell trees are covered by black netting to keep the sun off the trees so they don't dry out. And the trees are shipped in by Thanksgiving. By the third year of these awful trees, I did what I swore I'd neve do-went artificial. Price-wise, we broke even in 2-3 years, and now the tree lasts til New Years Day.
