I know I've seen this before but I can't find the answer after searching forever. How much are single beers in the hotel gift shops? I would appreciate any alcohol prices for wine, beer, etc.

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and I would love to see a wine list if anybody knows of a link.

I was going to have Garden Grocer deliver a case of Beck's and a 12 pack of Natural Ice (yuck, for my dad) and the total would be $52. I'm comparing prices.

Thanks!

Can't speak for the wine, but if I remember correctly a few weeks ago most beers were $5.25 plus 6.5% tax in the gift shop and the grab-n-go.

I would also love to hear the answer to that question.

KandiB47 .... I was just looking on Garden Grocer and couldn't find any beer? Do you have to call? I am sure my fil would love me to add some beer to our family order. TIA

Yes, I called and asked for pricing.

Thanks for the pricing info on the beer:scared1:

I'm thinking a 6 pack at the disney hotel gift shops at the resort is probably around the $15-$18 range.

IIt used to be possible to find a beer in the gift shop for $3 or so, but I doubt you can find that price in any of the gift shops I've been in recently. Typical price at the Screen Door at the BoardWalk is $5 or $5.50 per beer! I always walk over to the Hess Gas Station and pick up a six pack at a price that's never more than the cost of two beers in the on-site shop.

Does the $52 indicated by the OP include the $12 delivery charge for Garden Grocer? In any case, a case of a quality beer and a 12-pack of lite for $52 is probably a much better price than you can do in a Disney-run gift shop. That translates to less than $1.50 per beer.

$52 does not include delivery. Yes, it is a much better deal than Disney but I have sticker shock.

I think we will do one checked bag with alcohol. After searching, I found out I can still check a free bag from Airtran because I booked so long ago. I have a good amount of packing foam to insulate. We will try to find some plastic bottles of hard liquor and mix our own drinks. Thanks everybody.

The Hess station is definately your best bet...

This is my beer back up!

According to allears.net on Coronado Springs Room Service Menu a price of a 6 pack of beer is $16 and $3.50 for a single can. This was as of March of 2009.

I know the last time we were in Disney I thought the wine was a much better deal by the bottle than by the glass at Epcot -

The Rosa Regale (Italy champagne, but not - its red, tastes like berries, soft bubbles, no yeasty flavor) was $19 - same price at our home liquor store - and of course you can get it for $10 for one glass!

I did buy a bottle of wine at AKL gift store - and I do remember there was a wide price range - I went with the cheapest - and I was overwhelmed by how good it was!! It was not Boone's Farm, (or Inglenook - or that jug wine Carlo Rossi) caliber - it was really quite good! I'm thinking I had to have spent at least $12 (definately under $20! I'm a cheapskate!) on it - but my mind is fuzzy...

They even carried 2 wines at Pop food court! I laughed, and saw the price and figured it would be worth a try for that price (again not sure what it was but I'd guess in the under $20 range!)

Oh, and I have packed liquor - I buy a plastic flask and filled it with rum for the frozen drinks... (that they no longer sell!!) as well as champagne - but then when I found Disney had the same price for what I packed - champagne wise - and we didnt drink the rum - I thought next time I'd be ok with buying it there.... I've also UPS'd a box with liquor in it!
