Cost of a cab from Disney to Universal?

Just DH and I going this trip, so we thought we could do without the rental car. However, without the DDs, we are really looking forward to riding the rides my girls won't go on, and have never been to IOA. So I am trying to compare the cost of renting a car vs. shuttling to/from airport and adding in a round-trip to Universal. How much does that trip to Universal run? We're staying at the Boardwalk Villas, if that makes a difference. Ballpark answer would be fine.

Well, Mears would cost you $13 a person for a round trip trip from your hotel to Universal. This would be in a bus or van, depending on how many people they are transporting at that time. You may have to stop at other resorts to pick up more guests. The thing that I disliked about this was that you were basically told the time that you were picked up and dropped off. If you wanted to stay extra at CityWalk or take your time getting out of the park, you would miss the bus and have to take a taxi home.

A taxi cost us $30 with tip for a one-way trip between Disney and Universal. We just switched hotels and stayed onsite at Universal to get the FOTL access. That might be something to look into as well. For me, it is definitely worth the extra money to not have to stand in line.

I'll only need to go 4 miles...
and taxi is maybe my only option!
