I was chatting with our Planner and told her about a great product-"Model in a Bottle". I first heard about it on Oprah and bought some. It works great! It holds your make up in place, including foundation, in the wonderful Florida humidity & rain. You can easily purchase on eBay and I suggest the "sensitive" formula. I am break out prone and I have no porblems with this product.
I am 43, 44 next month and have probably tried thousands of make-up, hair, body creams, diet supplements and non-surgical cosmetic proceedures. So for what it's worth here's some advice/information:

Best foundation for long wear and won't break you out - Revlon Color Stay.
I work outside, lived 13 years in Florida and sweat up a storm-this is the best foundation I have found. Do not waste your money on Makeup Forever HD, doesn't survive even half a day, but does look great for a short time.

Guerlain metorites are fantastic alone or with make up! You can even buy these in EPCOT at France. I use a combination of all three colors offered.

Rimmel mascara
is great!!!! I use in conjunction with the new Loreal lash primer.
I tried Latesse but am allergic to the product! That was scary!

Derma Doctor UVA/UVB 30 For Face moisturizer. Has witch hazel to asorb oil and doesn't cause break outs!!! Remember-no matter what use sunscreen on your face every day!!!

I swear by Botox! Preventative product. I have never had any problems and have been using it since 37.

Oh and Ovation Hair Theraphy for thin hair. I'm blonde and have that wonderful straight hair. It's not super thin, but you can't call it a mane either. However this product, or I should say combination of three products really does work-even my Hair Stylist has noticed a difference in the texture and growth.

I have plenty of more on other face products and the likes, so just ask if any of you all are intrested. And I always love to hear what works for others!!!!

I have heard of 'model in a bottle' before and I believe I read about our very own Carrie using it during her wedding TR. I am from the UK and every website carrying this product seems unable or unwilling to ship to the UK (I guess that it might be that it is unllicensed here). Does anybody know a way round this? I have Patricia LeJeune booked for hair and makeup on the VR day and wonder whether I could have it shipped directly to her. Has anybody done this?
Thanks

Perhaps you can ship it to your Planner, if LeJuene will not accept the package. If you send it to your Planner you could pick it up and use it for your whole time in Florida. Unsure why no one will ship to the UK-that's a bummer. Are you shipping your dress over here or flying with it? Not related but just wondering.

I think I wiil be buying one of those special boxes for wedding dresses which fit in the aircraft's overhead locker. I am not sure that I want it to leave my sight!!!

I think it has something to do with all the super-flammable ingredients. I have been using Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray and it seems to work just as well, with slightly finer mist (always a plus). You can buy it dirdectly from the company, and they seem to let you select the UK as a shipping destination—this page has an email addy so you could check on shipping first: http://www.skindinavia.com/contact/

Also, MAC makes at least one finishing spray and is widely available in the UK, so you might check that out too. :thumbsup2

Carrie to the rescue as usual!!! Thanks so much. I will check out these products

Carrie got me onto that Model in a Bottle after reading (and re-reading, and stalking hehehe) her trippie, and I sprayed it on after Patricia was done with my makeup. On my wedding day it was 91 degrees with a 74 degree dew point. My hair fell down by the reception but my makeup kept going and going. :thumbsup2

Where do you get one of those? I'm interested in getting one but had no idea they made such a thing!

Bethany66 thanks for the tips... very helpful! :thumbsup2
