Anyone stayed here? I just booked 3 nights for $58/night on Hotwire..

I checked it out on Tripadvisor but any Disers have any info!?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I don't think anyone on here has ever stayed there because I posted this question 3-4 months ago and never got a response, and someone else posted it last month and never got a response. It looks nice, but seems quite far away.

We stayed there 2 years ago. It was fine. We had some trouble at check in with being assigned the wrong room type and the guy at the front desk was very indifferent. But that's OK because I don't expect stellar service at that price really. We did really like the hot tub and pool.

For us it was just too far away. After that experience we are huge believers in the benefit of being within walking distance. People DID walk from there but it was too far for us. Heck last year we stayed at the Candy Cane and it was still too far for us personally! This year we're stayinga right at the crosswalk on Harbor.

We don't mind about the distance, as long as it's on Harbor. We're getting APs this trip, so we're going to park in the parking structure.. (I know, I know, big no no for Hydro Guy's rules :headache: )

We're saving about half a night, so I'm not going to complain unless it's dirty. Ick..

I have an issue with motel type hotels with the doors leading outside instead of inside a building.. But I guess I'll get over it this trip..

Thank you again! :)

I don't remember it being dirty or particularly *sparkling* pristine. Just basic. I do remember not wanting my baby to crawl around on the floor but I'd feel that way in a five diamond resort hotel, too. ;)

We did have a suite which I LOVED with small children. And I guess I'm a rarity at the disboards but I don't mind Motel type accomodations at all. In fact for cheap hotels I prefer the direct access to fresh air as opposed to sometimes icky smelling interior hallways.

Have a great trip!!!!

Thank you! :flower3:

The only reason why I have a problem with Motel types is 2 years ago, my parents and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn (EW, NEVER AGAIN) and I know, it's a nasty motel to begin with, but my Dad picked it, and it was before I knew anything about hotels in the DLR area.. And it was one of the only places available that took dogs (we had our dogs with us)..

Anyways, our dogs got fleas. The room next us, somebody threw a cake (yep, a cake) at their door, and it was all smashed and gross on the floor outside. And that night (we only stayed one night) somebody (somebody who was drunk) started BANGING down our door at 3:00am. I was terrified!!!! My Dad had to hold the door down with his whole body while this man was trying to bang down the door yelling, “Let me in!!!!”.. OMG… :scared1:

We called the front desk, the police came, and then that same guy, went to the girl at the front desk and started yelling at her for calling the police! It was horrible. My parents were so mad we left that morning..

The next morning, our door was like off it's hinges.. Ahh.

The hotel didn’t even comp us for what happened after much complaining to their corporate office..

Ever since then, I am hesitant about motel types…
