Hi everyone,
First time poster here on the WISH board. I am very frustrated with my health and weight loss right now. I always get great advice from DISers so I'm wondering if any of you have experienced any problems losing weight after receiving cortisone injections. I started a fitness plan last March after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. This was quite a challenge because I have severe osteoarthritis in one knee but in the first 6 months I steadily lost 35 lbs (I need to lose 50 more lbs) and got my blood sugar under control by diet along, no drugs. Then everything just stopped. I haven't lost a single pound in the last five months. I have even increased my workouts but still no weight loss. The only thing different is that I have received two cortisone injections in my knee starting at about the time that my weight loss stopped. All the medical sites seem to say that cortisone injections shouldn't affect your weight. Does anyone have any experience?
Thanks for reading this long paragraph.
