Someone sent this to my daughter and we all found it quite interesting. I believe it originated in The Economist and was also published elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure the 2000 version of this (which was similar) was proven inaccurate and The Economist ran a retraction, not sure on this one though.

Just like it took an IQ of 0 to come up with something this:rolleyes:

Just sounds like more sour grapes to me.::yes::

You always make the most charming posts. What I don't understand, is why you get upset when anyone answers you back.:confused3 Like the time you posted your sad farewell to the DIS?

As someone currently studying IQ tests, there is NO way that is possible. These tests are normed in such a way as to prevent different states from performing differently. I've seen the breakdown on the major IQ tests currently in use (their current editions) and this just isn't possible. It's just one of those jokes sent around by email more than likely....

Well, if it was true, it would just show us one thing--you don't have to be very smart to make a good voting decison.:p

This was a fictitious chart, published as a joke.

See this thread for the last round of this hoax.

Not only is it likely fictitious, the author, Robert Calvert, also believes blondes have lower IQ's:

Has anybody ever tried to find a correlation between hair color and IQ score? Even though the phrase "dumb blond" may sound like a cliché, I think there is a certain amount of truth to it. In fact, if you take a close look at pictures of some of the most brilliant people, you will find that almost all of them have dark brown hair. Some have light brown hair, a small percentage have jet black hair and almost none of them have blond or red hair. This is not the distribution that you see in the general population. Obviously, I'm omitting older people with gray hair from this assessment.
It shouldn't be too surprising why those with jet black hair would be underrepresented among the most intelligent since these are the people who usually belong to low IQ races. But the reason why this same trend holds true for those with light colored hair is a little more complicated. Is blond hair a sign of inbreeding in some cases?

As well as African-Americans:

I can only imagine that those who would like to see social welfare policies unconditionally offered (most blacks) or unconditionally abolished (most radical Republicans) are substantially less intelligent than average.

And has a kind word or two about Jews:

The Jews are constantly advocating any policy that could lower the average IQ of the white race. It seems that the Jews are only
capable of seeing other people as a resource, not unlike coal or iron ore, to be exploited and used for their own purposes.

I am really ashamed and embarrassed at seeing this posted again here on the DIS. Most people do not agree with bigots like Robert Calvert. Please don't be angry if some judge you guilty by association.

Oops, you caught me Pugdog:rolleyes: I INADVERTENTLY posted twice because I was trying to add lines. If you notice, one post has lines and the other doesn't, but instead of editing, I must've posted it again.

Nice post, richiebaseball.

Timeforme, why not answer Richie's post? I just was on another thread answering a question about gloating. This is why. I really feel as if the Left, in general, misrepresents and misstates to further their cause.

Every single Bush supporter I personally know is extremely intelligent. That is more than I can say for those that post trash such as this.

I was just thinking, too, why would you need an article debunking something such as this? Wouldn't common sense tell you to find PROOF of this, even if there was not a site you could find to debunk it?

Let's see. . . using common sense, how many people actually even take IQ tests? And, isn't that kind of information still deemed confidential? And, even if waivers of confidentiality were signed, when did we start a statewide or nationwide data bank to record information such as this?

Does lack of common sense indicate a low or high intelligence quotient? What's your opinion, timeforeme?

Firstly, richie never posed a question now did he? Or at least one that required answering. Secondly, I very clearly stated how I came across this information and from where it came. Thirdly, in the past I would never have posted something like this, but I found it entertaining in the sense that "common sense" and decency seem to have gone out the window with certain people these last few days. Perhaps I am just sinking to your level. You're right. I've had a temporary lapse of common sense. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Edited for spelling

I love it. . . it's my fault, then, that you posted it? hahaha. . .typical leftie hypocrisy!

No, Richie didn't ask a question. However, I asked why not answer Richie's POST, not his question. His post deserved an acknowledgment from the OP, I felt.

Hey, everyone. . .since it's my fault that timeforme posted this, I apologize on her behalf for posting this offensive and false trash that was written by this known racist.

I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Please forgive me.

Yep that works for me - leftie hypocracy!

Barkeep, another round please. :drinking1 :cheer2: :drinking1 :cheer2:
