On the recent episode of connecting with Walt Michael said all of the engines in Disneyland were built by the Walt Disney company. Only the first two were. Engine number 1 the E.P. Ripley and number 2 C.K. Holiday were built by the Walt Disney company. All of the others were bought. If you want more information I highly recommend the book Walt Disney's railroad story by Michael broggie

Thank you for listening intently! You are absolutely correct! I was thinking of opening day when I said that and the two locomotives running at that time. I do have the book you recommended along with a couple of others on the Disney railroads. Keep listening and taking notes!

You should be ashamed of yourself for that mistake. I'm boycotting the show now.

On a serious note, Connecting with Walt is maybe the finest Disney podcast around. I so appreciate the level of work you and Craig put into that show. You weave an amazing story and it's an incredible listen every time.

@Merry Mousketeer and @Teleclashter I completely agree with @Tonyz sentiments. My family, particularly my son and I, love the show. It has really inspired me to listen to your Disneyland history podcasts and to get more books, particularly audiobooks, about the parks and Walt Disney. My husband and I are excited about meeting you guys in person and getting the opportunity to learn more knowledge first hand in the parks at the Connecting with Walt tour for the Podcast anniversary. Thanks for all of the excellent hard work.

Totally agree, as I've always said. I even got people @ work to listen with me when they heard your voice, and how in depth you are!!
