Correct ettiquete with service animals?

I hate to say it, but there are people who don't handle their SD's well, and people who have "emotional support dogs" who really don't qualify to be SD's and are not trained as such to behave in the exemplary fashion that SD's should have in public. These dogs and their handlers give all of us a "bad name". There is nothing wrong with asking a handler to control their dog, or in the case of the dog at the Lion King, asking the handler to make their dog lie down so as not to distract others. If a dog can't follow a simple down-stay, then they are not a well trained SD and should not be in a public place. A SD should never, ever be aggressive and growl or snap at anyone or they shouldn't be used in public either. A place of business, including WDW, can ask a handler to get their dog under control, and if they don't, they can be asked to leave. Just because a disabled person has the right to use a SD, they don't have the right to disrupt or harm other people.---Kathy ( and Skye)

The ADA information about Service Dogs does specifically say that a dog that is aggressive or not under control of the handler can be asked to leave.

I agree that there are people who are using a dog that is maybe not the best trained (or one that is trained, but the handler is not able/willing to control it).
