coronodo springs resort?

We have decided to stay there for dds11 chess conference in december 2006.We need 2 rooms since we have 5 in our family.I have asked my parents to come with us since we have an extra bed.My parents have never been to Disney and stayed on site.I am hoping they get "hooked"on staying onsite.Any must sees/things we must do at this resort?

I've never considered this resort before. We usually stay deluxe because ds is autistic and we spend a lot of time at the resort. This time we are doing a cruise and resort, so really don't want to spend $$$$ for a deluxe. I was thinking POFQ, but stumbled on this thread. I like the fact that you don't share a bus with another resort. It seems like you only have 4 bus stops, as opposed to 5 at POFQ and POR. Does it take that long to make the rounds around all 4 stops? Do the buses get real crowded (we're going 8/19-8/24/06)? In your opinion, which area should we request. My Mom is 75, so I want to keep walking to a minimum. We'd like to be close to the bus stop, and will get the refillable mugs so we'd like to be close to a refillable mug station. And I'd like to be not too far from the main pool. So, which area do we request. Also, do the buildings have elevators. Mom wouldn't be able to climb stairs. Thanks! Oh yeah, do they offer connecting rooms?

We stayed there last year. It is very nice but quite spread out. The only thing we weren't too crazy about was the Pepper Market food court. I just didn't feel the "service" we received warrented an automatic gratuity on the bill.

Cabana 9b is the most sought after location. Close to the main buidling and a short walk to the pool. But cabana 8a & b are great too. 8a is very close to the pool with a short walk to the main building. Cabana 9a is smoking optional. All buildings have elevators. CSR has a new internal shuttle system utilizing golf carts to drive guests to and from their rooms to the main buidlings. Details on my website below.
