Have a great time at Coronado Springs! My kids and I loved this resort.

Definitely rent a car. Check out Mousesavers.com under ground transportation for the last code listed for Dollar. I got a compact for $159/week - that includes all the fees. Cheaper than National Emerald.

You got a great rate! IMHO, the best place to stay, in order, are the Cabanas, Casitas, and then, Ranchos.

Hi 5GEORGE,

Check out my web site below. Have a great trip. We love CSR. The transportation is great so we never rent a car but if you have that many ps's every monring and evening, you may want to look into it.

DH and I stayed in Casitas 4, lagoon view in January '01.
Your kids should LOVE the pool area.
I don't know the details but there was a pool opening ceremony at CSR for kids. Sounds like you will not be interested anyway if you have PS' for breakfasts.
Our party had four adults (2 rooms) and one is a picky eater. (Picky not on what he eats, but hotness and food prep/selection.) And even he really enjoyed the Pepper Market.
The grounds are very nice and well maintained.
My only thought is if you get a room off the quiet pool, it could be noisy. But it would be very convenient for you with little ones in tow.
It was a quiet, tranquil resort when we stayed there. We didn't have a rental car. The transportation service was very good, except for coming and going to DTD. And hopefully they improved that by now.
DH and I will be at POR during part of your CSR stay. We went with a mod and didn't choose CSR only because we wanted to stay at a different resort.
Our January '02 we were at WDW a week, and had a rental car for two days and couldn't wait to get rid of it! It makes the stay (for us) much more relaxing to take the bus service. We decided if we really feel a need to get somewhere else on property fast, we will just take a taxi.
If you are staying on site you don't need a rental car. If you go off site at all, get a rental car. And with your family, it would be cheaper to rent a town car to and from the airport than to buy tickets on the Mears shuttle.
Have a great time! :)
