Coronado: Walk from check-in to Grand Tower rooms?

We have a lake-view room reserved in the tower. My wife has a disability that makes it hard to walk long distances right now. We thought we saw online that check-in had been moved at the Coronado. Does that mean we will be checking in somewhere other than the building our room will be in? We are trying to decide whether to travel with our wheelchair (we have an electric scooter being delivered the next morning). Thanks!

Check-in for all of CSR is located in the Gran Destino Tower lobby (right when you walk in the front door from the Porte-cochere). Since you have a tower room, it’ll be in the same building - directly above you. The walk between the Porte-cochere, the front desk, and the elevator bank is rather minimal.

Perfect. Thank you for the reply!

Now - while front door to lobby to elevator bank isn't much walking at all - if you plan to go to the food court or gift shop - that IS a longer walk - and you might want a wheelchair for that. You might also consider requesting a room near the elevator, as if you are at the very end of the hall on your floor that might feel far.

But if you are really just checking in for the night and don't expect to be exploring the resort before the next day when you get the scooter - I think you are likely okay without the wheelchair given you are debating about the need for it in the first place.

Also, if you're arriving by Magical Express, the walk from where the bus drops you off is up a slope to the main building. That might be difficult for her.
