Hello everyone!

I have stayed at both resorts and love them both!

We are looking at going early Easter week, leaving Friday before Easter! We are doing a resort stay so making sure we have the perfect resort is a big decision

I have stayed at Coronado Springs as a resort stay Easter 2020 and it was lovely but since it was prime Covid year I don’t have much to compare it to since everything was so different then

Here are my questions:
When we stayed at Coronado previously it was not too crowded (but again Covid) and also they had great activities! My daughter particularly enjoyed the Easter scavenger hunt, meeting the Easter bunny and other fun Easter stuff. Is this offered at any resort during this time? I know PQFQ is smaller so I wasn’t sure if they would have as much going on there and she really wants to do those activities again, she still talks about them! Also not sure if it’s only offered on Easter Day or the whole week

Additionally, the crowds. I love PQFQ for it’s laid back smaller vibe but going Easter week makes me nervous, since it’s so small is it the better choice? Since they have less pools and dining options will be they be overcrowded or are they always typically a more laid back resort regardless of holidays?

I appreciate your input! I’m sure no matter which I choose it will be a great time!

Just to clarify you mean you last stayed in Easter 2019, the resorts were closed in 2020.
We've stayed at both of these resorts during Easter but felt CSR had more things to do. All of the main Easter activities were at POR, which wasn't a big deal to walk over there but still not ideal. Most Easter activities will only happen on Easter day, so that might be a moot point. GF, BC and YC will all have their Easter egg displays and CSR had an egg hunt in their gift shop the week leading up to Easter but no idea if they still do this, we last stayed there pre-covid as well.

POFQ has never felt overly crowded even at full capacity and they have a nice splash pad for the kids. You can also use POR pools. Taking a boat to DS is a bit nicer vs being crammed on a bus so POFQ has that going for it too.

All in all, I dont think you can go wrong with either. I wouldn't expect any big Easter activities before Good Friday at either resort so really it comes down to which one would you more prefer to spend your time at.

Awesome! Thank you so much!! I meant 2021! But we were also there march 2020, landed and days later the world shut down

I appreciate your detailed post it was very helpful, thanks again for taking the time to write it!

The activities at both should be very similar. The difference is, as you say, the lack of dining and additional pools at FQ. You can travel over to POR but that isn't a vacation for me, I prefer easy access at my resort. You can't beat all the dining options at CSR. And I happen to think the main pool and hot tub is volumes better at CSR, just designed much better. The only plus for FQ to me is the boat to DS which would we would use to get to more dining, and evening walks etc.

Have not been but I'd like to try Toledo - around fireworks time! Be a nice treat, especially if only a resort visit.

Thank you for your feedback! I completely agree with what you said which is why I did decide to go with a preferred room at Coronado! The only thing I know I will miss is the boat to DS
