We are staying at CSR June 8 -13 and were wondering if there is a place we can look online to find out what meetings and conventions are going on at that time.

hmmmm...That's a good question. As far as I know, I have not heard of any websites that post this information. Perhaps you could call the resort to ask? BTW, I had a great stay at CSR this past August and I have to say that the conventions were no big deal--don't worry too much about them before you go because when you are there, I guarantee you will barely notice them. Enjoy your trip--I'm sure you will love CSR!!

There is no web site that lists all the conventions. The resort will not share this information since it infringes on the privacy of the organization holding the meetings.

What you can do is try to search for the websites of the groups holding the meetings. You can try searching on "Coronado Springs Resort Walt Disney World meetings conferences June 2003 etc. Be careful when you look at what comes up to make sure it is for this year. Also, sometimes events at the Hotel del Coronado in California will come up!

I did a quick search and came across some info --

June 10-16 will be the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics meeting. Here's their web site http://nacda.ocsn.com/convention/nacda-convention-2003-info.html

I also stumbled across plans for the World of Barbie Conference June 24-29 and a meeting of the Association of Advanced Cost Engineers on June 22-25.

Another interesting article that came up, CSR is doubling their conference space. They are building an 86,000 sq. ft addition to the convention center that will open in 2005.

I couldn't get the newest code for my dates at CSR so I figured there must be something big happening that week. After reading this post, I did a search to see what conventions/conferences may be there during my stay.

The only one I can find is a conference sponsored by the Fla Dept of Children and Families on child abuse and neglect prevention.

I hope social workers and juvenile justice folks are quiet and don't like to sit in the spa, and won't be eating at Pepper Market.

I couldn't get the newest code either that has mod's at $94, but I was able to use the AXA code and get my room for $104 .... did you try that one? It was still available within the last week

I've stayed at CS in the past, the most recent trip was March 2002. Great facility with a nice pool. Try to get a room close to the front, in less you like to walk a lot. CS is also going to undergo a major expansion soon, but I do not know if construction has started already. PepperMart is a nice place to eat, but be aware they automatically add on a gratuity charge, which I think is the only place at Disney where they do this. Enjoy yourself!

I have the $104 rate too. I don't know why that one worked. I was hoping for a good AP rate, but CSR sometimes doesn't participate. I love CSR and think it's worth $104 even if other mods are cheaper!

thanks all I am impressed at how helpful everyone always is
We have the 104.00 rate also
