We are staying at Coronado Springs in May. Please tell me your experiences - pros and cons. I have checked out the websites of CS from people on these boards! That is one reason we booked it! Please share your thoughts and tips with me.

Thanks!
Angie

Dd and I stayed there last year. It was spectacular. We loved the room, it was bigger than I thought it would be. Coffee maker helped in the morning. The view from outside our room was beautiful, especially at night with the lights reflecting off the lake. We rented a peddle boat there, and had a great time doing that.

I personally loved the Pepper Market. There was a lot to choose from. You could stay there a week, and never eat the same thing. I liked the idea of helping myself, and then the server-type people get your drinks for you. We always had excellent service from these people. You can use your refillable mugs here, and that helps a lot with the price of meals. I loved this place.

The walk around at night was amazing. We explored every little nook and cranny. If you walk around the lake on the paths, you can do so without ever seeing a car, which was very nice. We also rented bikes and rode around during the day. Also great!

A lot is made of the conventioners, but we didn't even notice them. There was at least one convention going on during our stay. They were busy with their meetings all day, and hit the parks at night. They weren't a bother at all. Sometimes, meal times must be arranged if the convention people are all eating at the same time as you'd like to, but generally, they are on a tight schedule, which only allows them to choke down their food before they return to meetings.

There was live music at the Pepper Market at night. We loved that. Very interesting. There is a nice lounge there as well.

DD loved the kids playground, which is tucked away at the main pool. The main pool is very nice, as well. The three building areas each have their own quiet pools. They were very nice, too.

The best part of that particular trip was enjoying the CSR and relaxing in its beautiful surroundings. Some rooms, the ranchos, were somewhat far from the main building where you would eat, but we actually requested that area and it was sold out. A lot of people like to be there away from the hustle bustle. I would request that next time. We stayed in the cabanas, and loved that area too. There is a small sandy area where dd loved to play. Also had hammocks there. Very relaxing. If you are ready to slow down and relax at your resort, this is the place. Enjoy walking around, and taking in the lush landscaping. It's gorgeous.

We're staying there in May, and would also like to know .
I know where Murray is, we drive by there on our way to wdw. Near Kentucky Lake.

Yup! Wow- you must drive a long way to go to WDW! Where are you? It takes us about 14 hours to drvie there from here so we always try to fly if possible.

We will be there to in May. You will love CSR.

The only thing many bring up is the 10% gratuity for a food court. But CSR is not your average food court. I don't have a issue with the 10%.

Check out our CSR info page below.

Have a great trip!!

elemusing, We are from Vandalia, IL. and it takes us about 18hrs to get there, we usually stay the night in valdosta or tifton, ga. I have to fly due too my job, and I hate it. Since 9/11 my children have ask me not to fly, so I don't, now I drive to new orleans, houston, denver, okc or wherever my work takes me.

10drum: I also HATE to fly, but I just pray alot and practically hold my breath the whole way. It is an hour and a half torture before and after my trip. :-)

Glad to hear you come around our part of the country!

Angie

A1A1,
Thanks so much for your detailed report of CSR!!! Everyone's descriptions sound so out of this world. Mickey76 and I read about it all of the time adn look at pictures, but we know that probably doesn't do the resort justice. It's nice to hear of people taking advantage of the resort. Mickey76 and I plan on spending time at CSR and taking in all of the beautiful things that it offers. I can't wait until we take nightly strolls in the magical atmosphere that it offers...........74 days and counting!!! :)

:)

Thanks to Buzz2001 and SteveH, Piglet203 and I think that the CSR will be a very fun and romantic place to stay at. We have heard a lot of great reviews and every day we get more and more excited. It would be cool if we were there when Buzz is going, but he's going in early May and we won't be there until May 25. We're not too keen on flying right now, but on the other hand, I have driven to Florida and hated it. It will all be okay once Piglet203 and I are walking to our room, ready to start the best vacation ever.

74 days to go!!!!!

Mickey76 :)

Mickey and Piglet,

I will be at CS from May 22-28. Wear your green ribbon and look out for me, DH ,and DS! :-)

I should let Steve and Buzz know that their websites are also the reason we decided to go with CS. Disney should be paying them commission. hee hee

Love CSR - My DH and I will be there from May 12 - 19!! We will be driving from Pittsburgh PA - We love the drive - its part of the adventure!!
