I just booked it with free dining pkg. I know its a large resort so I am really nervous. We didn't like CB because it was so busy and congested. Is CS more spread out or are they crowded too. Also concerned about how crowded the buses get and how many stops there are. I am excited about the pool and renting bikes and boats. Also what kind of fridge is in the room? Is it good for drinks? Do all rooms have them? I want to know all. Thanks

I've stayed at both CSR and CBR and although both are large resorts, the layout of CSR, in my opinion, makes it feel less spread out. They've also got a shuttle that runs around the resort picking up guests if you don't want to walk. The refrigerator is nice and roomy. I think we had two water six packs and an 8-pack of orange juice with room to spare in ours. It's in a cabinet in the room.

Casitas seem a little busier and more congested, while Ranchos and Cabanas are quieter. There are 4 bus stops and all are convenient to the different areas. I think the transportation is better and less crowded at CSR than CBR, maybe because there are convention attendees there that don't go into the park during the day.

You'll find lots of threads on CSR here - check out Buzz's website and Tinkerbell 325's FAQ thread on CSR.

First off, as far as CSR being spread out, CSR surrounds a 15 acre lake and CBR surrounds a 45 acre lake. An now CSR offers an internal shuttle system that eliminates walking to any of the villages if the guests choose not to walk.

We just returned from our 8th trip to CSR and we still love it just as much as our first time back in 1998.

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks and Blizzard Beach
Largest hot tub on WDW property - holds 22
Best main pool area (of the mods) with 3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available as well
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

Your site is very helpful. Is the food at pepper pike (is that what it's called) good? thanks

We think CSR is the best of the moderate resorts - for the reasons stated in Buzz's post under "Pros". The pool is quite nice for a moderate. I'd call it a "deluxe" pool. It is indeed centrally located which is very nice. A beautiful resort with great CM's and good food choices for a moderate as well.

We stayed at CS back in '98 and had a very nice time.

The pool is the big draw for this resort. It's incredible!

I admit that I was not crazy about how dark the rooms were (I normally choose resorts that have light colors in the room), but it was not a big deal. We also disliked the Pepper Market, but like Buzz said, it's not for everyone.

Have fun :cool1:

Food at the Pepper Market is great. Many choices to choose from and the portions are big. Mexican, Italian, Chinese, steak, pasta, salads, sandwiches...a bit of everything.
