Keep checking back to see. When we first booked, we could only get 6 nights at CSR, I kept checking and was able to get all 9 nights booked.

We check in tomorrow-our first CSR visit-I can't wait :cheer2::woohoo::dance3::banana::yay:

Have a magical time at the World, and hope CSR is all you are hoping for. :)

Hey all, just booked our next trip to Disney, and we're going back to CSR (after staying there in 2009), soooo long to wait but sure I'll be on here getting all the info as always!!

Booked CSR for my DH and myself, Sept 14 - 21, just us...NO KIDS! I am so excited after reading all of your posts!:cheer2:

Anywhere we should request to stay? :confused3

So EXCITED!!!!!

After much deliberation, we finally decided on CSR! The queen size beds and fitness center really swung the pendulum for us.

Interestingly, when we first started talking about this trip, CSR wasn't even on our radar. We were convinced POFQ or CBR were the way to go. I showed all the pics on this thread to the hubby and kids. Hands down, they all loved what they saw! So thank you to those who've posted pics and reviews on this thread.

Now, who has gone in Feb and can give us tips about that time of year?

:thumbsup2

WOW!!! Getting excited all over again.

Double digit shuffle :dancer:

99 days and counting for our first stay at CSR.

Thanks to all for their posts, TR, photos and great comment and thank you katmark for the great input, update, great involvement and love of the magic

Question - someone above mentioned having just booked for next June. How do you do that so far in advance? When I play around with trips on the website it won't let me see anything after 12/31/2011. I'd love to go ahead and book for next spring. What am I doing wrong?

If you look at their avatar they're from Ireland. They also got free dining for next June, which we can't. People from the UK get deals before those of us in the US do. Because they travel further and spend so much more on flights, etc they get different deals than those of us in the US and can book sooner.

Doh! I hadn't noticed that...I read via email (daily digest) and only come here when I want to post. My bad! :-)

Guess I'll just have to be patient...not my strong suit where Disney is concerned!

Did Online check in today.

We will be in WDW at CSR in just a few days! Soooooo excited!! :cool1::banana:

This will technically be our first visit and we are staying 5 nights. We stayed there for about 10 hours a couple years ago but it was dark the whole time we were there!

I am requesting and hoping we will not be in the Ranchos (I don't like the theming much... looks very desert-y to me....). Anyhoo... We are super excitied and I plan on taking MANY pictures of the resort!

I hope I  it.

Besides the different rules for the UK folks that aubriee mentioned, you can book room-only 499 days in advance, but you have to call because 2012 rates have not been released. You would be charged based on this year's rates, then your rate would be adjusted to reflect 2012 rates for your dates. You can book online once rates are released.

If you are planning to book room-only, you can do that now and know that you have a room. If you are planning to book a package, you will need to wait until rates are released (usually early August).

DH and I arrive at CSR in one week :yay:
Our flight doesn't get in until 10:30 so I know we won't be checking in until close to midnight. Will Rix Lounge still be open? Also, does anyone know the hours of Panchito's? I want to get milk for my morning coffee- can't stand powdered creamer, BLEH!

TIA!

I'm sure this info has probably already been posted somewhere in this thread, but I was wondering if the quiet pools are heated or just the Dig Site pool. We're going in February, so it might be chilly.

All Disney pools are heated, including the quiet pools.

17 days!!!! I am so excited for our first stay at CSR! We have always wanted to stay there and now we are only a few weeks away! I hope we get our request for Ranchos 7B or Cabanas 8A first floor, we are coming in late on Friday night, do you think that will hurt our chances of getting our request? I also was thinking of not doing online check in so we can request another room if we do not like what we recieve.

I just got back from a 8 night stay at the CSR. The resort is beautiful! Even more gorgeous in person than it is in the photos posted here. Of the 3 resorts I've stayed at on the WDW property, this was by far my favourite.

The check-in was very smooth, and the CM at the front desk was great. We didn't get there until 8:30 pm, so our room was already ready. We got Cabanas building 8B, room 8603. It was a great location as far as the bus stop was concerned (very close to bus stop 4), but it was a little far from the main building (maybe 7 minutes) and from the Dig Site. Maybe it just seemed far because when we got to the resort it was in the middle of a thunder/lightning storm and it was pouring!

The room itself was great. Clean, bright (corner room), and classy. Our mousekeeper had it cleaned by 1pm most days (I can only say this because I went back to the room for a rest a few days around 1 and the room had already been made up), and it was cleaned well. Unfortunately we didn't get any towel creations, but I wasn't expecting any.

Cafe Rix was fantastic. Always pleasant staff, and a nice selection of quick foods. We had the breakfast sandwich from their our first morning and although they were pre-made, it was still good. The gelato was also very nice. The Peppermarket, on the other hand, could use some improvement. The staff that greet you and give you the stamp card were always friendly, however that's where the quality of service ends (mostly). We always got our food to go, and every CM that prepared our food was by and large, cranky, sour, and cold. I was not impressed. The food was alright, but not quite as good as I was expecting. One of the people traveling with us got the waffles, which are advertised with banana topping and nuts, but this had neither. It was just waffels, syrup, and bacon. Since none of us were too impressed with the Peppermarket we didn't eat there much. The beverage station staff were another exception of the poor staff...they were always very friendly and nice.

The gift shop was really good. There were lots of items, and the staff were great.

The bus service at the resort was also great. The longest we had to wait for a bus was probably 15-20 minutes, and this was only once. The bus service from the parks back to the resort was also great. We could have just been having good luck, but we never had to wait any longer than 10 minutes for a bus. Also, we found the longest bus ride to a park to be around 12-15 minutes, which was nice.

All in all, this was a fantastic resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone, but especially people who are looking for a quiet relaxing resort.

Tink my thinking was just the opposite! We are arriving late at night also, and I was afraid if we didn't do online checkin, all the rooms might already be assigned and we would just get what was left! Now you've got me to thinking I shouldn't have done it!!!

Casitas 4 or 5 or Cabanas 8A would be my top 3 choices.

Glad the family liked the looks of CSR and you booked there. Never been in February, but hopefully someone else can give you some hints.

I haven't counted but think we are still over 100...so you are closer than me. ;)

Hope you get the Cabanas or Casitas. It will be here before you know it.

I believe that Panchito's will be closed when you get there. I think they open at 8 a.m. but I am not 100% positive. You can get milk cartons at Rix Cafe. The Lounge has different hours depending on the day.

I would think your chances of the Ranchos is pretty good since that is the least requested section. ;) I have found doing online check-in hasn't saved us much time and with you coming in late, I probably wouldn't do it.

Thanks for the detailed review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at CSR. And good tohear you had no problems with the buses (I've read a couple of not so good bus experiences lately).

I love the corner rooms--it definitely makes it brighter and it makes it seem more spacious.
