Does anyone know what the closest grocery store is to CSR? We want to check in and then go get a few grocery items before hitting the pool on our first day.

The closest grocery store is Goodings at Cross Roads, but it's very pricey.

There is a new Super Walmart on Turkey Lake Road. Easy to find.

There is another Walmart on 535, but we had a really difficult time with traffic getting back to WDW.

There is a Hess Gas Station with some groceries across from the Boardwalk and another one across the street from the Market Place.

Hi everyone!
We will have a CSR Dis meet at the Dig Site/Bar area on May 31 at about 6:30 pm. Hope you can make it. If it is raining (it better not) we can meet at Pepper Market.

I had someone PM me & tell me to order from Staples. I did consider Quill or Staples but they are a bit like buying from Sam's Club. They want to sell you 36 cookies at a time, etc. And of course you can't order cheese sticks or anything like that LOL.

I'll probably just check with a driver out front & see what they estimate fare to be & if they would be willing to take me. I would have to pay $14 + 2.99 fuel fee from GG or $5 & up delivery from Staples, so I would just as soon go & pick out the items myself. I know the Vegas taxi drivers are happy with $6 tips on a fare, hopefully these guys would be too. We may have to short taxi trip just to get to WS as I don't think we would be going until later in the evening, so BB buses would not be running at that time, so that would be even shorter yet.

Sounds good! Hope to see everyone there. If not I usually have some sort of lime green Mickey attached to my bag. I have met several DIS members that way.

What about the week May 21-28 (we're leaving the morning of the 28th)? Anyone else going to be there and want to meet up sometime?

If I am in the area, I will stop by.

I am there part of your time.

Just got back from a quick one night stay at CSR. Checked in on Saturday morning and left on Sunday afternoon.

I did the online check in before we left thinking it would speed up the registration time, my luck that did not happen. The regular check in line was going faster than the online check in. Other than the slow moving line, check in was good. It was only about 10 am and our room was actually ready. :cheer2:

After checking in we were starving. After reading the reviews on the love hate relationship with the Pepper Market we decided to give it a try. I went for a waffle and with only one other person waiting for one, I stood there for about 10 mins before I actually got the darn waffle and then was not even asked if I wanted the fruit topping that came with it. I think the worker was too concerned that the lady in front of me asked for extra syrup. My bf tired for an omelet but the line was about 15 people deep and only one chef. DB got the breakfast platter and that was the only quick thing about the Pepper Market.

The rooms was great! Definitely has been refurbished since my last stay about 2 years ago. Having the fridge in the room for no charge was great and the beds were comfortable. Decor was nice and not tacky at all. The bathroom had the sliding doors so you can get dressed without disturbing others. If you are traveling with more than 2 people I would flag a maid down fast and get a few extra towels. Our room only had 2!

The pool was great! We got 4 lawn chairs over by the slide. It was pretty quit there and relaxing. The slide was a lot of fun! We had a few drinks out by the pool and then ate lunch out there as well. (We found it odd that out by the pool they would not let you have anything but fries with the meals).:guilty:

Sunday morning before we left I grabbed a muffin from Cafe Rix since I did not want to deal with the Pepper Market again. Muffin was great! DB and the BF said it didn't look too bad so they decided to give it another try. This time DB's eggs were runny and also cold. My BF was able to get an omelet this time (They do not do egg WHITES!) but then he went in line for coffee, after the 4 people in front of him got coffee the worker behind the counter then proceeded to tell him that the coffee station was closed. Lets just say he walked away disappointed without coffee.

Overall the grounds and the rooms at CSR are great, but the Pepper Market is just horrible and overpriced. I think the food at McDonald's is possibly better. We usually stay at an on site property for all of the conveniences. I think next time we will definitely choose another property thanks to the lack of food quality and service at the Pepper Market.

I did PM a few times (3) in my 2009 trip. I enjoyed both the Lunch and Dinner we had there, though breakfast did leave a lot to be desired. I didn't go back last year though, nor am I planning on going this year. Sounds like other than the PM disappointment, the rest of the trip was great though :).

I just got my Magical Express packet in the mail!!!:banana: Only 32 more days!!!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:
Yay! I still got a ways to go, but we call all live vicariously through those going soon :). I love when I start getting the Mickey mail before the trip, just makes it that much more real.

im coming here in september
Sept is a great time to visit.

Can you use the dining plan at the pool bar? Is it snacks or counter service? What are the hours you can order food? We are going the end of June.

Yes you can. It offers both counter service and snack options. You can also refill your refillable mug here. I think the bar is open until 7 but you can only get food until 6.

Have a look at the menu here.

Is this by the main/big pool?

I did online check-in today, which means I'm finally in the zone where my husband will stop laughing at me for being giddy about going - we're down to just 10 days (9 days til we leave since we drive and break out stay in Savannah, so as far as I'm concerned, we're in single digits now, baby!)

Pool-related question: since we will be arriving mid to late morning and I don't expect our room to be ready, I am thinking I will pack a bag with bathing suits and sunscreen and we can check-in then head for the pool for a few hours rather than go to the MK. Are there places to change, and if so, where?

I know it's probably mentioned show where in the 120 pages, but I don't have the time to go back. What is considered preferred rooms? Is it worth it to pay extra for preferred? We are a family of 4 that will use the pool a fair bit and also eat the occasional meal at the resort. What area should I request?

Hello Dis members. So excited, our next trip is coming up Sept 24-Oct 1. We've never stayed at Coronado before and are ecstatic, counting down each and every day.I have a question,Monday 9/26 we scheduled an 8:30am reservation at O Hana's for breakfast. The MK opens at 9 that morning. Do you guys think we will have enough time to take the bus from CS to the Poly? Secondly on Wednesday 9/28 (my birthday=) we have reservations for Tusker House at 9am. AK opens that 9 that morning. So same question will the buses be running long enough for us to get there on time? There is a group of 7 of us and even though my parents will have their car it still won't fit all 7of us and I'd rather NOT take a cab. Thanks for your help.
