we just booked CSR for our trip in October and im wondering what the selection is like for breakfast? Do we have to eat at (I think it's pepper market where you pay gratuity for the CS meal) or is there a place we can grab some breaky and sit outside to eat?

You can get Pepper Market to go and not pay the 10% gratuity. Also, Cafe Rix has some grab-n-go items.

Just jumping in to squeal!:cool1: Just booked a surprise 3 day vacation for this coming up weekend(Star Wars wooohooo!) for our DS4! I have only ever stayed at values and have always wanted to stay at Coronado! I'm super excited, we'll be needing those comfy beds after battling sith & storm troopers all day!

Congratulations! We'll be there too! Have fun! :cool1:

Hello(again) All,
We are going to WDW from Sept 24-Oct 1. We are of course staying at CSR:goodvibes. Last night I decided to register for the Wine and Dine/Halloween 5k on Oct 1st. It is at the Animal Kingdom. Does ANY know how the transportation might work on getting to the race? It starts at 7am. I read somewhere (All Ears?) that when they ran the marathon that buses picked them up. I'm sure I'll get more info as I get closer, but I was just wondering if anyone has any past experience with Disney races that is staying at CSR. Thanks guys.

The last two days we have been leaving the room about 7:30 and returning exausted around 4:00. Both days we would return and the room was still not done. Ofcourse with minutes housekeeping would knock on the door and we would send them away because we were tired.

Can we request when we leave in the morning for them to clean the room earlier in the day and not start at 4 p.m. when we usually return.

We are on the 4th floor so I guess that means we are last for the day but this is becoming very inconvient.

Thanks

Getting so excited about our October trip. Can't decide which building to request. We are traveling with another family with a 5 yo. Mine are teenege boys. Thinking near the main pool is most important, but don't love the cabanas that much. Has anyone stayed in Ranchos 7B? How far of a walk to El Centro from there?

We spent the last week at CSR. The place is beautiful! We arrived on Sat May 7 around 11am. I had done online check in and our room was ready when we arrived. We were in the Ranchos building 6B. It was quite a haul from El Centro but not too far from the Dig Site. And pretty close to bus stop 3. We had a corner room on the first floor which was nice. The Dig Site was awesome. My son loved the slide. So didn't I for that matter. We ate dinner at Pepper Market twice and it was yummy. My son had pizza twice and loved it. And between my friend and I we had the Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Quesadilla, Nachos and some steak and rice dish from the Chef's grill. Breakfast there was another story. Not the best. We only did breakfast once b/c it was so bad. I had the Southwestern omelet w/ potatoes. The omelet was still runny on the inside and the potatoes had zero flavor! This morning we tried Maya Grill for breakfast and it wasn't any better. The gift shop was great. The arcade, not so much. We've only stayed at Pop before and their arcade blows CSR's out of the water! Bus service was not that great. At least once a day, whether it be at CSR or coming back from a park, we would wait and wait and wait as we watched numerous buses for the other parks or resorts. I know one day leaving Animal Kingdom was a mess. We waited over 30 minutes! And there were people in line in front of us who claimed they had been waiting for 50 minutes by the time the bus arrived! Mousekeeping always did a good job. They did leave us one towel animal, a very cute duck, I think it was lol. Any CMs we did encounter were very nice. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but think we will explore more resorts before staying at CSR again.

We just stayed in Ranchos 6B and it was only a 5 minute walk to the Dig Site. The walk to El Centro is a little much. And the majority of it is in the sun and that walk can take a lot out of a person.

Yes, you can do this. Just call the front desk and ask them to request that Mousekeeping clean your room earlier. I've had the same thing happen before on a few trips. Every time they were able to accomidate us.

Nonononono! Do not go that way!

From the turnpike going south, take exit 267A which is marked for Disney World. It's FL 429 - it's a toll road, but it's only about $1.25 in tolls and it's SO MUCH SHORTER. It's only about 15 miles down that road (which is lightly traveled) to Exit 8 - I think it's marked Howard Rd, or maybe Western Way. Anyway, follow the signs and you'll turn onto Western Way at the end of the ramp. You'll go about 3 miles and see Coronado on your left. Turn left at the light and directly left again into the Coronado Springs entrance. It is SO fast you won't believe it. As you're on 429, be watching the horizon towards your left and you'll be able to see the Contemporary, Space Mtn, Swan/Dolphin, Everest... All the tallest Disney landmarks.

I am at the CSR right now and today we went to the dig site pool for the first time. There was a massive amount of teenagers in the pool.

I was just wondering if anyone knows why that is? If there is a some kind of teenager convention going on at the hotel this weekend.

They were so loud that the lifeguard threw them all out of the pool and they started booing, I guess some people complained about the noise they were making. I thought usually when there is a massive amount of kids they go to allstar resorts. I hope it isn't like this all weekend long.

This is my first time at this resort and it is beautiful. I love the land scaping and the room is very comfortable. Everyone on the boards was right the beds are very comfortable

I just got back from CSR a couple of hours ago and we had the same problem the last two nights we were there. Last night they were screaming so bad outside our door that it woke up my kids at midnight. We also saw a couple of broken glass bottles on the walkway between the dig site and the Ranchos.

I will get back with a trip report later on.

Most likely the teens are from Grad Nights. A lot of local and Fl teens go mid- late May for these. That would be my guess.

I am in the planning stages of our next trip to celebrate my graduation from nursing school. My kids will be 11 and 2, do you think CSR would be a resort that both children would enjoy equally?

We have 3 girls, 12, 9 and 2 and they loved the resort. We just got back yesterday. The kids had a blast in the pool and they have a little pool for the 2 year old that has a fountain in the middle.

i have another silly question that has been answered previously but here goes. with previous stays at por and cbr they gave u the 2 in 1 shampoo and bar soap. are the toiletries the same at coronado? just wondering as looking at the room pictures they seem to give more, i just dont want to pack stuff i dont have to.

At CSR you get separate shampoo and conditioner, not the 2-in-1 stuff. You get 2 bars of soap and I think lotion as well. They are also the H2O products.

We just got back also and did not have any problems. We stayed in 7b and had a great time. I did notice all the teenagers when we were checking out. I looked at the board and they had some sort of youth conference going on, I forgot exactly what it had said but I noticed it was not on any of the list I had checked prior to our trip. I will also post more later about our trip.

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to speed into town. well Not spreed but you know. :cool1:

Apologie sif this has been asked before, but this is a very long thread and haven't read it all:rotfl:
Do Coronado show Movies by the pool/beach area like some resorts do - ie Aii Stars, Y& BC. Just Curious
TIA:goodvibes

No, they do not. There are times they play games with the kids and they have the "opening ceremony" with the kids.

We will be there Nov 17-21 following the disney cruise. Are the preferred rooms worth it? We have 3 kids...pool and bus stops are more important to us. Are the preferred rooms only the casitas bldgs? TIA

If you want to be near the main pool, then you do not want preferred. The preferred rooms are in Casitas 1, 2 and 3 only (these are closest to El Centro).

I would put in a request for Cabanas 8A, 8B or 9A.
