CSR Experts. My friend and her two children (ages 3 & 5) are staying here in August. I did read some of the posts about room locations, but what would be the best building/room for her that is close to the restaurant area, as her husband likes to hang out there and fill the mugs while they are getting ready. They usually drive to the parks rather than take the bus. Any suggestions welcome--Thanks!

I wonder why they don't keep things consistent across the different resort categories??

Ok, we have a few more weeks before our vacation starts. We were planning on ordering 3 cases of water from costco. I am confused with the fee of $10 from the csr. Is it $10 per case or $10 per order? Should I just order it with garden grocer?
Has anyone order from either of these places? I am worried that I will not receive it.

I've ordered from Costco many times...as a matter of fact, I believe I'm the one that orginally suggested their website as an option for water that ships for free (I only mention it because I've always wondered how many *thousands* of cases have been ordered as a result of that post several years ago!).

I've never had a problem receiving it, but that was before some of the resorts starting charging to process it. Hopefully someone will chime in that's had it delivered to CSR recently.

We have stayed at the value resorts and I really don't remember having 24 hr. access to the drink stations? I always thought they closed the doors at midnight? Can anyone confirm?

As far as I know, only the Contemporary, YC/BC and GF have 24 hour room service.

Cabanas 9A or 9B or Casitas 1 or 2 (even 3 is relatively close...took me less than three minutes to walk there from our room in Casitas 3 in 2008).

I find it slightly deceiveing to have the resort mugs to be fillable only during select hours.

We have stayed at the values a few times but during september and december when the hours are shorter, we always would refill our mugs after getting back to the resort I think 11pm for EMH at MK, they always had MANY children in the lobby watching movies and a good amount of staff on. I figured it would atleast run the hours the parks are open. So you can refill on your way back to your room.

Another couple of questions sorry:

What is the best way to add a room request on a reservation? We have booked through virgin in the UK.

Also on our first night at pop last year me and the wife had pizza delivered to the room and it was decent. Does CSR have a similar facility and has anyone any experience of it?

I just confirmed that Cafe Rix is open until midnight for refills.

First, I want to say thanks to everyone on this thread. It has been invaluable as we prepare for our family's first trip to WDW. We're staying at CSR (which we chose because of all of the awesome pics on this thread!) in August (18 days to go!) but I had a few questions...

1. We have reservations at Cali Grill to watch the MK fireworks the first night we're there. I'm not worried about getting from CSR (we will have no car, relying on Disney transportation the whole time) to CR for our reservation, but I'm wondering what is the best way to get back to CSR after the fireworks? I thought about a taxi cab but then was concerned about the hordes of cars leaving MK as it closes.

2. We have a 7:40 a.m. ADR at Ohana for a character breakfast one morning. How early do the buses leave for the parks and what's the best way to get to Poly?

To answer #1 - If you take a taxi from the CR, you won't have any intereference with cars from MK parking. We did fireworks at the CR on the first night of our last trip, have a wonderful time!!!

Thanks for the tip on the cab. I've been at theme parks (non-Disney) when it closes for the night, and traffic is never fun.

We are so looking forward to the fireworks at Cali Grill.

We took a cab a few years back after dining at Cali for the fireworks, so much easier then taking the bus back!

Started the new job today, and all is still a god for August 28th! Woot!

I was wondering the same thing. We are driving and since we are staying 10 nights plus a few days at the beach afterwards, I am planning on taking my blender, a bottle of mailbu rum and some pina colada mix to make our own drinks. We don't drink much but thought a nice, cold pina colada would be nice in the evenings as we take a walk around the resort or sit by the pool.
