Coronado Springs or Pop

Given the current reports of crowding and long wait times for the Skyliner would you choose Coronado over Pop? Would your answer change if you are rope droppers and/or Uber/Lyft every morning?

We swapped from Pop to CSR when I received a PIN email, but I was thinking about switching anyway due to reports of long Pop bus waits, etc. We will be using Disney transportation and we are rope droppers.

However, we've never stayed at Pop (we were originally ASMo in May) and have stayed at CSR, so there is that comfort level of familiarity with transportation, etc.

We're rope droppers and use a mix of Disney transportation and rideshare. I'd pick CSR hands down -- it has way more amenities than Pop. I don't think the Skyliner is a boon for rope drop at all -- from CBR it took us almost an hour to board a gondola to DHS. If you start at Pop, you have to wait in the line there to board, then get in another very long line at the transfer station at CBR. Kind of a frustrating way to get to DHS for rope drop, honestly.

In full disclosure I have not stayed at Pop. Although I have stayed at AoA so that makes me a qualified DIS expert. 8-)

I think CSR is a beautiful resort with an excellent central location. It’s 1-2 turns and a straight shot to every park whether you’re taking buses, Uber/Lyft, or driving. Plus great dining options, grounds, and amenities (under normal circumstances).

CSR would get my vote over Pop, generally speaking.

The only value resort we tried was All Star Sports, it was not for us. When we couldn't find a good deal at a Deluxe, we usually stayed at CSR and enjoyed it. Can't comment on the transportation as we always had a car.

I stayed at Pop last week. It's not a rope drop solution as others noted, but a Lyft to the parks isn't very expensive. I love taking the skyliner the rest of the day. Popping over to Riviera for a snack or coming back from Epcot or the boardwalk is great. Lines look long because of distancing, but I didn't have any issues. I never waited more than 5 minutes. I've stayed at Coronado in the past and I don't have any complaints, but I like the new Pop rooms. It depends on the price difference. I will always opt for skyliner moving forward.

Pop Century was a high-energy, lots of people when we went in August. We chose it as the least expensive spot for a long weekend WDW trip. We probably won't return to POP. The updated rooms were nice, but the skyliner had loooong lines at HS opening, and MK bus line was also loooong. CSR is a very relaxing RESORT.

Hands down CSR.

We stay at CSR Gran Destino and Uber everywhere in the mornings. It's less than 5 minutes from AK, HS, DS and EPCOT. MK is less than 10 minutes away. CSR is a lovely resort, day and night.

I think this depends on your needs. We stayed at CBR, but enjoyed having a nicer resort and pool area since we spent more time at the resort than typical due to shortened park hours. CSR would be more conducive to this, IMO. But, QS at CSR is very limited right now and I believe the food court is closed. There's also no reusbale mugs. If you rely on resort QS, Pop may be better for this.

FWIW, the Skyliner is busiest at opening. If you plan to go a little bit after, its fine. On the way back and even at park closing, its fine. We did Uber whenever we took a bus at park opening because buses are such limited capacity and the bus depots were busy. There were also instances on the way back when we had to wait for another bus because we didn't fit, due to limited capacity. I'd be wary of this at CSR, since buses are the only option there.
