Coronado Springs or POP - second guessing as usual

I'll put in the disclaimer that we've never actually stayed at AKL, but have eaten there twice. We did stay at WL, and like CSR much, much more.

We like the outside entry to rooms, rather than the typical "hotel" feel, with the inside corridors. Outside of the Beach Club, I don't think you can top the pool at CSR, and the food options there are fantastic. AKL's good in that regard, too. While I like the Savannah View thing at AKL, I prefer the look and feel of the resort-surrounding lake at CSR better, and love the beach theme of the Cabanas. Busing is great as CSR, though it's probably good at AKL as well.

We did walk around AKL after dining at Jiko a few years back, and the pool and the general grounds didn't "wow" us the way CSR does!

Thanks for sharing I've stayed at both and I love them both, and sometimes for similar reasons! I find they're both really calming resorts--really nice breaks from the overstimulation of the parks. I think I prefer the rooms at CSR. I really like the colour palate. AKL rooms were nice, but the theming of the resort is at its best in the main areas. I actually lost my breath when I walked into Jambo house the first time (what a dork!). CSR is beautiful around the lake, especially in the evening. We're staying at CSR for the second time right away here, and I would definitely stay at AKL again too.

OP I think you made a wise choice! We love both resorts, we have our third stay at CSR next month and have had four awesome stays at Pop.

To me for a trip that is all about the parks, paying more for amenities you won't use seems silly. And with just two of you, the room and bed sizes aren't really factors.

Our last stay at Pop was our best, I requested and received a lake facing room in the 50's section. Quiet, peaceful back there and we had views of the lake, Swan Dolphin, Wishes and Illuminations. Several times we hopped a bus to AoA and it was a short walk to our room across the bridge.

CSR is beautiful around the lake, especially in the evening.

We stayed at CBR for the first time last year. One of my wife's gripes was that it wasn't lit up as nicely at night as CSR. We're back to CSR this year, and can't wait to return!
