Ok, I saw the pictures and I'm in love!!

Where is this resort located? Which theme park is it closest to?

How is this place as a whole?

We are mostly interested in theming, room comfort (and bed comfort), & CS meals. We like to look at the pool but are less interested in using it. We are not big drinkers, but the bar looks neat! Are those outside couches I saw in the photos?

We are not big fans of mexican food, but arent interested in eating there much anyways. Just a quick breakfast here and there and maybe 1 CS for dinner to take back to our room one night. Is the Pepper Market only a mexican cuisine?
We have a tradition of coming home early one night and eating CS in our rooms and relaxing and I usually treat myself to chicken strips!

Also, is the theming very "Disney"? I love the 3 Cabelleros & I noticed the greenery!

Thanks!

CSR is located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area, but it's actually very centrally located. It's just down the road from DHS and Epcot, also. It's a very short bus ride to AK, DHS and Epcot, slightly longer to MK, but still only maybe 15 minutes. We love the location because it's very close to the point where we enter Disney property. So convenient!

We have stayed at CSR twice and found it to be beautiful, well-kept and peaceful. There are 3 distinct areas to the CSR, the Casitas, Cabanas and Ranchos and each feature different architecture and landscaping. The beds are only full-size (or you can book a King bed room if your party is only 2) but they are pillow-top mattresses and quite comfortable. The rooms have central a/c with independent controls, and very quiet.

We like the Pepper Market very much. There are lots of options, not just Mexican! Here's a recent menu: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_pm.htm

Breakfast is your typical fare, including eggs, omelets, pastries, etc.

The theming to CSR is not extremely Disney like the value resorts, it's much more low-key. There are touches here and there, it's not over the top.

We're going back to CSR for our 3rd trip in Sept! Try it, you'll like it!

CSR is located about 5 mins from Epcot, DHS, and AK and 10 mins from MK. Great non shared transportation makes for quick rides to all the parks.

The Pepper Market is not just Mexican. It also has Italian, Chinese, a grill station with chicken, burgers and steaks, pizza, and a soup, salad and sandwich station. There are many options to choose from.

Wow, this sounds very centrally located!! & I'm assuming the bus transportation is pretty good because it's not sharing with other resorts?

The beds in particular are drawing me in! We definately did NOT have pillow top mattresses at CBR! We would definately want a kind sized bed (just DF & myself)-how much do king rooms cost & are they hard to book?

I'll check out the Pepper Market menu right now!

*Oh-how are the Christmas decorations?

Thanks everyone!

My hubby and I stayed at CSR this past december. We enjoyed the trip. There are 4 separate bus stops so wherever your room is it isn't a far walk. The grounds were beautiful but very spread out.

Yes, the bus transportation is very good, in our experience. We use it almost exclusively. There are 4 bus-stops around CSR, rather than the 7 at CBR.

Unlike the values and deluxes, mods allow you to book the King rooms specifically - it's not just a request. It's about $15 or so more per night. (On our January no-kids trip, my husband and I booked one at POFQ for $115/night AP rate; regular rooms were $99/night.) It's the same price as the Water-view room booking.

Thank you everyone! We are definately going to look into this for our week after Thanksgiving trip!!

Could someone give me the link to this famous Buzz website I keep hearing about? :goodvibes

Are there pictures of the insides of the rooms on there? I'd like to see what a king bed room looks like. I'd also like to see pics of the different room areas.

Thanks again!!

I'm browsing right now-WOW! This resort seems like a hidden treasure! I had no idea it was this beautiful!!

Where is the 3 Caballero topiary located? I'm a huge fan of the 3 Caballeros! I would love to be in a room area near that or those beautiful fountains!

It's in the casita courtyard between buildings 1 & 3.
