I have a Touring Plans subscription so I'd like to request a room/area for our stay at Coronado Springs Resort. We will for sure be in one of the villas, not tower. I'm looking at a map of the resort, trying to decide which area is the most convenient to bus, food, and pools. I'm less concerned about the view than I am about not having to walk forever to get on a bus or get a meal. If you're close to restaurant, you're far from and bus stop. If you're close to bus, you're really far from food. Please tell me it's easier to get around the resort than it looks! Those who have experience at Coronado, what area/villa would you choose?

I think I read somewhere that their is internal tranportation (golf carts) for helping transporting people around the resort? Is this true? If so, how does it work?

TYIA!

Casitas 4 and 5 are non-preferred rooms (I'm pretty sure 4 is) and close to bus stop 2, which is the first stop to pick up. There is an internal bus system but no golf carts. The casitas are just across the bridge from the main building and the Dig Site (big pool) I was there in Dec. in Casitas 5 and it didn't take more than 5 min. to get to the Tower or the Dig Site. The addition of the bridge really makes a difference. Some of the non-preferred Cabanas buildings are also close and close to bus stop #4, you would only have to ride the bus for one more stop going to the parks but would have to ride it around 2 and 3 coming back. I've stayed in both sections and even before the bridge had no problem getting to the pool or the main building.

I will be staying there in November and have researched this and will request casitas 4 or 5. You’re near a bus stop and not a far walk to lobby or the pool.

January- I saw golf carts transporting people w their luggage but it was very intermittent. Not something they are doing for all. Besides that they aren’t doing golf cart transportation the way, say, a sprawling Caribbean resort would.

Thank you everyone. I was able to search within Touring Plans filtering distance to transportation and distance to lobby. It showed that Cabanas 8B and 8C are withing 3 minutes walking distance to transportation (bus stop) and lobby (assuming this is the tower). El Centro for food would be just a bit longer walk, but not bad. So Casitas might be closer to restaurants. I requested a room at the end of 8C. Of course, there's no guarentee that's where they'll put us, but finger scrossed. It's a really nice feature that Touring Plans offers - we've used it several times with success.

I was in Casitas 4; great location! Close to Bust Stop # 2 (The first pick up and first drop off), and not too far from the center walkway over the lake with easy access to the tower/El Centro

I was just in Casitas building 5 earlier this month and it was great, 5 minute walk to the big pool, maybe slightly more than that to the tower/shops, and the first stop for buses. I’m for sure requesting Casitas the next time I stay at Coronado (I had requested a totally different area through TP, but I think the nice front desk lady moved me to whatever was available when I got there and it worked out for the best)
