I did look at touring plans but it only showed standard view and not water view rooms that were connecting.

IMO, touring plans is a great resource, but it starts to get a little unreliable when you get to the level of details such as connecting rooms, bed types, etc. You can use it and places like the DIS to triangulate to the correct info though.
