Thanks to those who answered my earlier post as to whether to stay at Coronado Springs or Port Orleans-French Quarter; you're responses were very helpful. We've decided to stay with CS as we've never been there and it sounds good. So...next question: Cabanas or Casitas? Is there anyone who has stayed in BOTH sections who can offer an opinion? Thanks.

We stayed in Ranchos 7B in a, (quiet), poolside room and absolutely loved it. Loved the theming...We were maybe one minute from the Dig Site, love the hot tub.....5 or 6 minute scenic walk to El Centro.....Bus stop was right out behind our building.

I would stay away from the casitas if you want quiet. They seem to put more of the convention people there. We enjoyed the cabanas much more.

Last Dec I stayed in the Cabanas 8A, water view, 2nd fl, corner. The bus stop was right behind the building. It was quiet even though really close to the main pool. The only negative it was a hike from the main buiding coming home. I liked the 2 story look.

Cabana's! Look at a map and you can see the layout of them. I think I would stay away from the one right near the dig as you could hear that music there. Our Cabana was so peaceful and we enjoyed the view of the lake and seeing El Centro all lit up at night :D ! The Casitas are pretty but seemed well populated. The Ranchos seemed SO far away. We walked around the lake and it is pretty far!
