Looks like cheer comps don't start until April 27 so we are considering CSR this time around for mid-April.

With French Quarter and Caribbean Beach's main pools being closed through April, trying to decide between Coronado preferred (not tower due to the bathroom setup with teens) and Riverside preferred.

Riverside is familiar but have not stayed at CSR. Anyone stayed at both and love one more than the other and why?

Really love Caribbean Beach vibe (skyliner and close to Riviera) so with the smaller village pools, still considering this as an option but the not too sure with the main pool being down-that is a big amenity not avail:(

Where are moderate families staying with the FQ and CBR pools down Jan-April 2024?

Ive stayed at both and while I really like POR, I was just so impressed with CSR. We stayed in the Cabanas section and it was a great location between the main pool and the tower. I loved the layout of the rooms with the long counter. They have so many dining choices too, we really enjoyed Rix and Three Bridges. The pool is really cool and even the quiet pools are very nice. We had a rental car so I don't know how good the bus service is.

CSR is a beautiful resort and the main pool has a great slide. POR has more shade and a more relaxing vibe. Nice access to DS if that matters to your family.

If your family really enjoys CBR, I would say just stay at CBR and plan a day at TL or BB and rent a cabana. Your teens will probably enjoy that more than the resort main pool. It's possible the main pool at CBR may be open before your trip anyway. I think it depends on which is more important.....the resort's main pool or the resort's transportation access to the parks?? If your kids were under age 14, the pools would be a bigger factor. Not sure the ages of your teens.

Riverside in the past was our favorite moderate. Then we tried CSR and it immediately replaced Riverside as our favorite. We’ve stayed five times now, mostly standard, once Water view. The tower is of no interest for us - the original buildings have so much a resort feel. So many food choices, best bus service we have experienced in a moderate. (Never had to stand on the way to the parks, and very centrally located.) main pool is great for kids. Mine are grown now, but grandkids love this resort. Last trip, we mostly used the quiet pool; it was never busy, so like having a private pool.

good point that the CBR pool might open up by mid-April anyways. I guess now I am deciding between CBR and CSR....lol!!!! We do like the Skyliner and the proximity to Riviera. We stayed at Rvierside recently which is why I am not sure we want to go back there so soon even though we did enjoy our stay. I will discuss with family if overall resort feel/transportation or main pool is most important.
