Coronado location questions

Hi guys

Before I book coronado, I have some questions.

Is Coronado and the tower two separate buildings? If so why should I pick one over the other.

I know it's a very big resort and we will not be doing parks, only pool and DS. So I wasn't sure if I should request to be in a preferred room, which I guess is putting me near the lobby? Or if I should be near the pool. If I wanted to be near the pool then what would my request be. Also, how far is the walk from the lobby to the pool?

Yes, there is the Tower and then the rest of CSR (which is several other smaller buildings). We are very impressed with the tower.

If you don't book in the tower, preferred rooms are their own booking category and you'll have to book that if you want one. It's not a request. Preferred rooms are in Casitas 1&2.

FWIW, getting around the resort is much easier now since bridges were built over the lagoon. It is big but I don't think shelling out for a preferred room is necessary, especially now that the lobby is in the tower. I like to book standard and request the Cabanas so we're close to the pool and not very far from Gran Destino.

Pool to tower? Five minutes, maybe 10 tops if you walk slow.

No problem! I think you'll like CSR. It's a beautiful resort and the rooms are some of the nicest in the moderate category. It's the most deluxe feeling of the moderates.

Yes that's what it seems like! We usually do AKL but wanted a change!

It is open right now, but I think there's some question as to if it will stay open after the G league leaves. I guess we'll see. It all has to do with how much demand there is for the resort.

The tower to pool walk is very pleasant, can go over the bridge. also, as I recall, Blozzard Beach is practically across the street. Cant walk there but a super short drive.

I actually really like ranchos! It's like staying in the middle of Frontierland. LOL

I mean, it was rough if you were back in Ranchos. I often took the bus if I wanted to go to the front of the resort. The bridges were a great idea, they've definitely made this large resort easier to traverse.

Yes! The buildings look awesome, I like the theming of them. Just as long as I'm not too far from getting my morning coffee

We’re staying at CSR in less than 2 weeks for the first time! Keurig machines in each room!

You might not be. The theming in the Ranchos section is awesome!
