Coronado Buildings / Rooms to Request?

Hi All,

It's been over a decade since I've stayed at Coronado. I have a standard view room but would like to be as close as possible to the first bus stop and amenities. I believe the tower is the first stop now, is that correct?

If so, what is a good building number and/or room number to request to minimize the walk?

Thanks!

The tower stop is labeled as #1, but it is not the first stop for the parks. That would be bus stop #2 in the Casitas section. For a standard room, request Casitas 4 (closest to bus stop) or Casitas 5. The tower is the first stop for Disney Springs.

Curious - are the Cabana buildings standard or preferred? Thinking of booking here soon. My priority would be access to the main pool.

Thanks all! Are any buildings more recently renovated than others for standard rooms? Do buses tend to fill up these days at later bus stops, we had horrible luck with that at Saratoga springs years ago.

We will likely be coming and going from the buses the most but food and the lobby are considerations too. What is everyone's preference? Is there a good mix of both worlds?

Thanks!

We always loved staying in Casitas 4, but we also liked 9B (it used to be where the Gran Destino tower is now.). I expect 8C Cabanas would be OK if you want to be near the Gran Destino tower. Cabanas 8A is close to the dig site and the third bus pick up. Personally I would still choose Casitas 4, even though it isn't as close to the tower..

We typically stay Preferred. We also have requested Casitas 4 and received it.

Casitas 4 is close to the first bus stop heading to parks, near a pool, and, you can walk to El Centro undercover if it's raining.

how long of a walk is it from Casitas 4 to get to the food area, and drink refills? thank you!

Not much difference.

Walk down your hall, take the elevator. Then you still have to walk down that long connecting hallway to El Centro.

Good point.

Maybe CSR is not the resort to stay at if distance is a problem.

I never want to pay extra for the Tower or Preferred rooms, so I always request Casitas 4, top floor. It's good for bus, food options and the La Vida health club. And, I like the vibe of the Casitas Section. I think I've stayed 5 times...once at Ranchos, once at Cabanas...rest at Casitas...and will always request that in future. Plus, the rooms do seem nicer at Coronado than at the other moderates...though never stayed at a wilderness cabin before they went DVC.
